Bloke from ticket office Tuesday. Said we had sold around 23000, so I'm going for 25000, that's nearly DOUBLE what this joke off a club called Coventry get week in week out!!!!

Tbh we have one of the best set of fans in the championship. We manage to get between 25-28000 most weeks at the moment even though ticket prices are stupidly high. If they lowered it and do increase capacity at the walkers i can easily see 35-40k down here

Yes, we do.

No we don't.

No chance - 35k in the Prem maximum really. We'd have to be established top 6 before we got 40k regularly.

By definition, the last few would only go back to Swansea (5 games) and in 3 of 5 we had less than 25k.

In your 'few' there's 5 out of 9 over 25k but take a look below and there's a lot of good reasons why...

If you go back a little further (to Scunthorpe, after Sousa was sacked) we've had 8 of 13 under 25k - this is a better indication of our current level of attendance.

28,768 - Bristol City (Fri, Ticket Offer)

22,667 - Barnsley (Sat)

23,347 - Millwall (Sat)

31,200 - Man City (Cup, Ticket Offer)

21,650 - Swansea (Bank Hol Monday)

30,919 - Leeds (Boxing Day)

27,519 - Doncaster (Sat, Ticket Offer)

24,695 - Forest (Mon)

25,930 - Derby (Sat)

20,445 - Sheff Utd (Tues)

21,212 - Preston (Sat)

23,766 - Hull (Sat, Sven's first game)

20,652 - Scunny (Sat, Sousa had been sacked)

While I'm not suggesting our support is poor - far from it, I object to comments such as we'd 'easily see 35-40k' because, unless tickets were ridiculously cheap, it wouldn't happen.

Take a look through the archives, we've rarely done it, even when Filbo could hold those sorts of numbers...

Man, I am so bored.

Im pretty sure we would gain a lot of people from cheaper match tickets and playing against premiership teams. Heck id much rather see us playing united than preston...
