JoBrown Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Why can't the football league just stop messing with the fixtures? http://www.football-league.co.uk/footballleaguenews/20110225/final-day-championship-fixtures-brought-forward_2293334_2301942
evs_the_fox Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Tigers are at home that day too, I got tickets last week on the basis that we were playing Sunday. Ha, City at 12.45, Egg-Chasing at 3!
ousefox Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Well they'll have to change the rugby to another day i would think, unless that match can only be played on a saturday too?
evs_the_fox Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 It's the last day of their season before the playoffs so
samlcfc Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 alright with me, wouldnt have been able to make it on the sunday, Finish work at 12 though in loughborough so will have to be fast aha
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 12.45 is just stupid, Footbal League doing whatever tv wants as usual.
The Doctor Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Well they'll have to change the rugby to another day i would think, unless that match can only be played on a saturday too? yep, final day of the season, like 08-09 where the scunthorpe match got moved to the friday since tigers had to play on the saturday (although our match was moved since the tigers were using our ground).
Dan Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Saturday > Sunday every time. But fvcking hell at TV dictating things AGAIN.
Brainy Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Usually like the last game of the season on a Sunday tbf
Corky Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 We all knew TV would dictate things, especially on the final day. I prefer Saturday matches in any case.
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Knew something like this was coming. It doesn't put me out personally but it'd be nice if they could leave the fixtures alone every once in a while. I don't know many people who are fans of an early kick off. I'm certainly not.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Extra day of weekend to get pissed up and celebrate getting promoted/reaching the play-offs. Fine by me.
reacher Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Extra day of weekend to get pissed up and celebrate getting promoted/reaching the play-offs. Fine by me. ill drink to that!
ajthefox Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 prefer a saturday anyway so can't say I'm that fussed, but the way everyone gets bent over for tv is laughable.
Swalker Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Why can't the fixtures at the start of the season just stay as they are and just be left alone. But I've got an unusual idea that never happens- why don't the Tigers change their fixture for once instead of it always being us.
Dilkes Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Why can't Tigers change a fixture for once? They always win anyway <_<
Rich Fox Posted 25 February 2011 Posted 25 February 2011 Why can't Tigers change a fixture for once? They always win anyway <_< Dont think its owt to do with the tigers just for sky. All the fixtures wlll have to kick off the same time surely?
The Doctor Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Why can't the fixtures at the start of the season just stay as they are and just be left alone. But I've got an unusual idea that never happens- why don't the Tigers change their fixture for once instead of it always being us. Why can't Tigers change a fixture for once? They always win anyway Tigers cannot move their fixture, it's the final day of the rugby union season and, unless those in charge of rugby union decide to move the final day of the season, tigers have to play a 3pm kickoff that day.
the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Why can't Tigers change a fixture for once? They always win anyway <_< Its the whole league moving to sat 12:45!! Not just City!! dont think tigers have that much power
demon_dog Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 City AND Tigers at home on the same day ! Whatever will the police have to say about this? They publicly stated that they could not cope with both City and Tigers playing on the same day. How is it that since it is both ours and Tigers last game of the season that they could allow this to happen? If they do, then how come we have not played some of our games as scheduled this season, due to Police objections?
ScouseFox Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Pretty sure we have to play at the time the football league say, as it's the last day. Same goes for Tigers. So the police will have to deal with it.
