Adster Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 On my way down to the Walkers now, should be an interesting game. Anyone else going? And i've never been to a Youth game before so it's exciting for me Come on City
TheUltimateWinner Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Its good, Because you see our youth in action and see how our club's future is going to look in probably 3 years. Not the same atmosphere as when i went last there's no goal music, And no announcer but still a good game to see! Watch out for some first team as-well they normally go down! Im not going tonight because my grandads injured and cant take me down (He knows the guy who runs the youth house so i get to sit where the first team players sit at these games, MET KINGY, MORRO, GALLY, WELLENS last year all quality people )
North-LondonFox Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Cheer them on for us. Good Luck City Can someone let us know how they're doing? Come on lads!
davieG Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Leicester: Smith, Sesay, Knight, Byrne, Moore, Taft, Myles-Tebbutt, Norburn, Hopper, Schlupp, Robinson.0px; " >Subs: Brown, Brennan, Jones, Panayiotou, Warburton. Blades: Long, Montgomery, Anderson, Harriott, Maguire, Kennedy, Barry, Whitehouse, Ironside, Slew, Gregory. Subs: Martin, Willis, Ahmadi, Deakin, Pomares. Now 2-0 http://www.sufc.co.u...2312219,00.html
Bert Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 This "blaming" is already boring and not funny. On the other hand, Sheff Utd are a good academy side, beat us in pre-season 4-2.

anotherharboroughfox Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Surely a good thing? no? Just what I was thinking, wish I could of bloody gone.
Bert Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Sorry I'm not always as miserable as you, Bert Ha. I'm never ever miserable. Don't know who you think you are to tell me that I am or aren't anyway. Sorry for having an opinion god of the forum.
NorthernFox Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Schlupp with an injury time consolation, but City are out 1-2.
MC Prussian Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 It was cold. Very cold. I had to leave after 65 minutes in order to catch my bus back. 2-0 down after 30 minutes, our young players didn't look like they really wanted it. First time to a youth team match and apart from the players with the numbers 4 and 7, none of the guys really gave it their best shot tonight. Number 10 up front all on his own, hardly a touch on the ball. It felt like the 1st squad's performance of late had affected the "little" ones. There was no urgency and no desire to win it. It wasn't a case of Sheffield United being the better team, but they were much more composed, much like Norwich yesterday. What surprised me, however, was sitting a row in front of the Birch, being able to listen to his comments about the senior squad, Sven and our recent results.

Anything particularly interesting from the Birch?
MC Prussian Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Anything particularly interesting from the Birch? Apart from the Birch not happy with Sven tinkering with the formation and Sven allegedly being very upset with the efforts of his team, not really. One midfielder in particular got some stick, too. However, the Birch reckons we'll turn it around against Scunny on Saturday.
Fosse Boy Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Shame. Would've been right up for hitting illa Park in the semis.
Blade Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 It wasn't a case of Sheffield United being the better team I'd have to disagree there. Your official site seems to as well... Superbly organised in defence, energetic in midfield and imaginative in the final third, the visitors were good value for their win.

Sheffield United were a much better side on the day.
