Bob Weasel Fox Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 dont yoou just hate people who sit on the fence . . . . . . errm we can still make the play-offs . . . . . . . if we go and support another club
Corky Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 Not this season, I know we're still five points away but we're not consistent enough, and haven't been all season. If we'd kept Fryatt we'd be closer
Guest Col city fan Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 I think 70 points was the total for 6th place last season. I think it will be very similar- meaning we need around 15-16 points. Teams in and around the playoffs still have to play each other so will definitely drop points: Saturday 2nd April: Hull v Millwall Leeds v Forest Reading v Pompey BORO v LEICESTER Saturday 9th April: Millwall v Leeds Forest v Reading Swansea v Norwich Watford v Hull LEICESTER V BURNLEY Tuesday 12th April: Forest v Burnley Swansea v Hull Watford v Norwich LEICESTER v PALACE Saturday 16th April: Norwich v Forest (Friday) Burnley v Swansea Cardiff v Pompey Leeds v Watford READING v LEICESTER 22/23rd April: Leeds v Reading Cardiff v QPR Pompey v Swansea FOREST v LEICESTER Monday 25th April: Burnley v Pompey QPR v Hull LEICESTER v Watford Saturday 30th April: Leeds v Burnley Millwall v Swansea Pompey v Norwich Watford v QPR DONCASTER V LEICESTER FINAL DAY Burnley v Cardiff QPR v Leeds LEICESTER V IPSWICH Not saying it won't be tough, cause it will. 5 points seems a lot with 8 games left, but as you can see there are a lot of games between top-half, playoff chasing teams. We've got 4 of these (2 home, 2 away). The rest I think may be easier than normal as they're teams where their season is over (can't get relegated/promoted). Trying to remain optimistic/positve. Of course they are still possible..fingers crossed
Lisburn Fox Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 Can't see it happening, we are not good enough and confidence is low. Anything is possible, but this is highly improbable.
ScouseFox Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 Bloody hell Forest's run in is ridiculous. To be honest, I think QPR away was when it slipped away from us after getting so close. Losing that in the last minute knocked the stuffing out of us and then defeat to Norwich almost ended our season. When Sven took over we were bottom, so to be in with a shout of the play offs is still good going. I don't expect anything from this season any more, so finishing top 6 would be a huge and unexpected bonus.
shade Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 you know what worries me most? it's not that we've lost form, it's that I can't see us getting it back. certainly not before the end of the season, and without some new signings, a new system and time to actually mould a team, not next season either.
surrifox Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 great time to lose our apparently impregnable home form- for that reason- I suspect not
lestajigs Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 Sorry guys we just ain't good enough at the minute!! Anything is possible but we really need to pull are fingers out!
singaporefox Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 I believe we have run out of games , but as you say anything is possible. Hopefully the 2 weeks break will invigorate the players and we can go on another unbeaten run. C'mon guys keep up your valueable support especially those who go to matces My end of season predictions: QPR (pending pts. deduction) NORWICH SWANSEA CARDIFF READING BURNLEY / LEICESTER/ LEEDS / N FOREST / HULL (to fight for last spot) WATFORD / MILLWALL ( outside chance ) Here's hoping we go on a winning streak and make the playoffs.............
Nick Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 8 Games left, we need to win 5/6 of them and pick up a draw or two. Possible? Yes - not a bad run-in. Likely? No - our form despite being a great second half of the season does not at this time correlate with such a points tally. Do I think it's a definite 'No?' No - this is Leicester City, I actually wouldn't be that surprised if we went unbeaten till the end of the season won five drew three and finished 5th with a further eighteen points. It's not over yet.
