Ozwin Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Have to say that next season's collection of kits so far are fvcking dire. I like Fluminense's kits mind. Shame they don't really sell South American shirts over here.
Jimothy Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 What's wrong with it? It's not generic and boring? Oh I'm all for kits being different, but that is an abomination! It looks poorly put together, it really doesn't work. You can normally see what the designer is trying to do with a shirt, but I just can't see what thought process went behind this and thought it would look good. Are you saying you'd be happy to see Leicester turn out in that shit? It's a million time worse than our Topps Tiles effort and that wasn't great.

Different kit designs suit different colours/Clubs If I was a Bolton fan I'd definitely be buying it though. It's interesting, colourful, smart, it stands out - just attractive. Kits should stand out, if it just looks plain like everyone elses, or if it looks like a bogstandard T-shirt from the charity shop, I can't see the logic in spending £40 quid on it I wonder if some people (not necessarily you) think football shirts should look like normal shirts?
ScouseFox Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 I'd much rather a "plain" or "samey" shirt that's nice than a "different" or "interesting" kit that's pretty disgusting like that Bolton one.
whenyouresmiling Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 I've said it before but it's worth repeating, Bolton's new kit is awful.
Finnegan Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 I'm all for a kit being a bit different and not just a one coloured t-shirt but I also think it should be classy and kinda smart. Bolton's looks like some kid with ADHD designed it with crayons. This is basically the perfect kit IMO: Absolutely gorgeous. Gutted it sold out before I went to get one. Dropped curry on my away one (it's white with a brown and red stripe) and can't get it off.
ajthefox Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 I know it's not a new kit but that Spurs kit is beaut edit: oh and that Celtic away on the previous page is gorgeous

You can flick through this thread and find numerous shirts that look different and great. Marseille for starters. Yes the Bolton one is different but it's not nice. It looks like they've forgotten to put the navy parts on and stuck them on afterwards. It's square and straight edges are not pretty. Look at Spurs last season, that's how you have a blue "slash" across the top. It's might stand out and look interesting, but not in a good way, it stands out in the way a burns victims face might. I don't want football shirts to look like normal shirts, I just want them to look good.
AjcW Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Fulham Away - sexy (but tight!) You forgot the Away goalkeeper kit!!!!!!!!!  Recife: Just for the ass.... :w00t: Official United:
ScouseFox Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Chicharito is never any older than about 7. Not believing that for one minute, especially after that picture.
ajthefox Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 couple nice efforts from Kappa for Fulham even if the main kit looks very tight. Not a fan of United's kit. Simple can be nice but that kit does nothing for me.
AjcW Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Possibly the worst teaser photo ever! Man City Away: Probably based on this 82 Umbro made Man City kit.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Possibly the worst teaser photo ever! Man City Away: Explain how that's a bad 'teaser' then. Way better than what most sides do and just have a guy in the new strip in a dimly lit room.
millzi Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Possibly the worst teaser photo ever! Man City Away: Are you SERIOUS!? Is that honestly their teaser photo!?!
AjcW Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Explain how that's a bad 'teaser' then. Way better than what most sides do and just have a guy in the new strip in a dimly lit room. Meant in the sense that it pretty much gives the game away.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 I reckon it's more discreet to do that and give a flavour of what to expect than to just have a guy standing in a kit with zero light.

Suppose its a fair point, I just dont get the point of these teaser photos in general really, either release it or dont . Worst teaser ever. Original as ever
Finchy Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Explain how that's a bad 'teaser' then. Way better than what most sides do and just have a guy in the new strip in a dimly lit room. Because it's shite graphic design.
