That is just happy we aren’t in the relegation dog fight this year?!

Because it seems many of our fans don’t seem that way at all, these are no doubt the same fans who shout Weale at Ricardo, moan every time a player makes a mistake or the classic Leicester fan line of “**** sake here comes Oakley” .

When Sousa left the club at the foot of the table I would never have even dreamed a push for the play-offs could happen. It seems now the clubs own aspirations have lead to much false hope from fans who now seem pissed off we haven’t achieved it (lets be serious).

But if you think about it this has ended up one of our better seasons in recent times and I think we have some good players in the pipeline( Moussa, Schlupp, King.....could achieve Muzzy status! ) and we have a lot to build on for next year.

My only real concern is Svens approach to signings, it seems to me he will only sign a player if they are either proven internationally or play for a premiership club. I think this isn’t how you go about a future for a club. I would much rather see him mix that approach up with finding some jems of our own, or even just signing proven championship players to drag us out the division.

Looking at our current squad I think going up this year wouldn’t be the best for our team, the majority of the squad is loan players which means they would all go back to their original clubs at the end of the season an if we wanted them back we would have to pay at least twice what their worth. The only players I think would be worth signing out of the lot are Naughton and Mee and im hoping we try to get Greg Cunningham back next year.

Of course not, but the amount of money we (the owners) have spent to attempt to get us promoted warrants a promotion push and inevitably raises expectations.

That's not to say that narrowly missing out this season and building on the team we have this season would be a bad thing. But the worry is we can't keep bankrolling all these prem loans without prem money. We NEED to get promoted rather soon.

I do agree with that, but this isnt going to happen if we keep wasting our money, which is what a lot of what the new owners have paid for so far seems to be. The ammount of money we paid for Kirkland and Yakubu is rediculous, fair play to the owners for rolling the dice but I would much rather see us spending wisely (Bamba 250,000)

I should think he probably isn't.

Well he bloody should be.

Being happy to not be involved in a relegation fight is good enough for S****horpe, not for us.

I'm not happy about that, well of course i'm happy but would say this has been a lets say good season at the same disappointing season, but at the same time take that in a positive in that it shows how far we have come and expect to be up there and expect to be in the playoff/automatic places.

Having said that even after year after year of relegation dogfights (Before we were relegated) some of our fans still expected us to beat certain teams and thought we had some god given right to be up there, which in the end resulted in us being relegated.

Saying that when he fucked the playoffs up last season I said within minutes that Pearson would leave this season one way or another (Albeit later than he did, I expected around Christmas time) and we would finish midtable this season, It's looking that way.

At the start of the season of course I was wanting at least play-offs... But around november we were in a terrible position and we were miles away from getting near that. To be were we've climbed to now is an achievement and Sven has done a great job

Yeh but deep down I knew we weren't relegation fodder as soon as we got rid of Sousa, and I'm sure a lot of other people felt the same. And in any case you can't expect people to be happy with midtable after last season, and with the money we've had to spend.

Plus Leeds were promoted last season and were wanting Grayson out in November, now look where they are. It's hard to see that and be happy with where we are.

relegation never bothered me, even with sousa here, i believe he would have turned it around, especially if he got the backing sven got. im dissapointed that we are not higher up the table now either as we was so close so let it slip away regardless of where we started from. the worse thing about it is i believe next season is going to be harder than this. what with the teams coming down, the loaness leaving and will need replacing. possibilities of sven being poached..

Depends where you take the expectations from.

Pre Pearson leaving everyone expected an improvement on last year.

3pm on the first day many were expecting the same result as last year.

Having just lost 6-1 away to bottom of the league and then gone bottom ourselves, i'd have been pretty please to steer clear of relegation.

After 8 games unbeaten and being told by everyone on here and in the press that we'd be playing in Europe come 2012/13, "avoiding a relegation fight" didn't seem to satisfy a successful season.

So yes and no. Although I think most of us knew we were "too good to go down" :P

Lets not kid ourselves.

Yes we had a very poor start to the season, and sven has done a decent job, helped by the owners, who have backed him superbly. Lets not forget though, that up to a few weeks ago, despite our poor start, we were within touching distance of the play offs, with plenty of games left, but having got ourselves in that position, we`ve blown it.

Has it been a disappointing season? Well not for me, yes i`m gutted we blew our play off chances in the last few weeks, but, i`ve enjoyed our style of football under sven, and i`m looking forward to next season already.

The summer is going to be very interesting too, seeing who comes in, and who goes out.

Another massive plus from this season has been the new owners, who have so far been fantastic, so onwards and upwards!

after last season we should have moved on . we have gone backwards once again .happy that we are not to be relegated is a ridiculous thing to say . i set my ambitions as high as i dare , why shouldn't i ? leicester city have under achieved on the back of last season . i will moan when i think things aren't good enough . the weale calling to ricardo is pathetic but oakley playing any kind of football for us and being given a new contract is beyond belief if we are going to play in the premiership . there are too many leicester fans who are the blue tint glasses brigade , i am not , i am honest as i can be .i am a season ticket holder and share holder so i can say what i like. this season has just wasted my time and everyone elses . what a rollercoaster we have been on , know one can ever say they saw this season going the way it has after last season and we can still get to the premiership . wheres my valium .

I can honestly say I've really enjoyed this season and as disapointed as I may be that play-offs look distant, I'm not angry because I wasn't expecting it after our start so I'm not going to complain if we finish outside the top 6.

Having said that, as I'm sure many others didn't, I never even contemplated relegation, it was never going to happen because our squad is too good.

That's not arrogance, it's just the truth. I know Sven's brough a fair few loanees in but even without them I think we would have been mid-table.

So in that respect I'm not really happy that we aren't in a relegation dog-fight because if we were I'd be really annoyed, but whatever happens from now until Ipswich I'll be content with because of how we've come since september and how much promise we have for next season.

What I am dissapointed in is the fact that Svennis had done a good job to get us to 6th, then fooked it up with silly team changes when he really didn't need to. So, well done to him to get us there...BUT we have been pretty shitty since, which is a shame. Don't forget that only a few weeks ago we were having all this nonsense about City being the best team in the division and we were gonna get automatic promotion etc.. so expectations were ridiculously over-inflated...and something has gone wrong again to see us slip back down the table. For me, this coincided with the introduction of Ricardo and Bruma when we already had an in-form Weale and Vittor/Mee at centre-back.

As for being pleased that we arent relegation fodder, that is madness - Sven has had the bulk of the season really to make sure we weren't, which, to his credit, he has done. Sousa left after only 8/9? matches, giving any new manager the time to get our form back and get us going in the right direction...

Sven raised expectations by getting us to the cusp of the play offs...

Sven also blew our chances of a play off place by becoming the tinkerman!

Ah, yes, because we're a MASSIVE club. :|
