acooling08 Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Weale PVA Bamba Mee Vitor Oakley Wellens Gallagher King Kamara Yak Every single one of our players were brilliant against Burnley and should all start against Crystal Palace. A possible change of Abe for Oakley would be acceptable but I think the admission of Bruma would be a disgusting and stupid move by Sven. I really don't think Vitor should make way for Naughton either. I really like Naughton but maybe Vitor is the answer to keeping clean sheets whereas Naughton is better going forward, leaving us exposed.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Weale Naughton Bamba Mee Van Aanholt Oakley Wellens King Vassell Gallagher Kamara If Bruma even touches the starting line up ill be having words with Sven.
Jimothy Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Not sure what Gally did to get dropped and be so bad you'd rather see us play with 10 men.

The Doctor Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Naughton in for bamba and vitor moving to cb would be the only change i'd even consider.
cairnsy Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Weale Naughton Bamba/Vitor Mee PVA Oakley/Abe King Wellans Kamara Yak Gallagher
Joe. Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 No brainer really, as you were unless Naughton's fit. If that's the case, I'd drop Bamba and shift Vitor inside.
Kingylcfc Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Weale Vitor Bamba Mee Van Aanholt Abe Wellens King Gallagher Yakubu Kamara Subs Ricardo Naughton Oakley Vassell Dyer Howard Bruma
davieG Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 I'm not one for playing players out of there recognised positions but I think this would make for an interesting experiment Weale Aanholt Mee Bmaba Naughton Vitor King Wellens Gallagher Yakubu Kamara Vitor certainly looks comfortable enough and intelligent enough on the ball and his obvious defensive and tackling abilities could make him a very decent battling defensive midfielder that can also pass. Just a thought.
Haydos Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Tempted ti keep the same team. Bringing Naughts in means you switch your RB and CB again and I don't see the point after keeping a solid clean sheet. Keep Naughton on the bench and use his pace in the second half (possibly even on wing?). Definitely wouldn't want bring him in for Bamba, don't fancy a back line with an average age of about 20. Same line up for me with the possible inclusion of Abe for Oakley (didn't go so can't comment on his performance but most say he had a good game anyway).
Fox92 Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Should really be an unchaged side because we didn't loose. If Sven wants to change something though, and if Naughton is fit, he'd come in for Bamba with Vitor switching to right centre half.
ajthefox Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Exactly the same 11. Naughton's played so many times for us it'll probably help giving him a break, and what better time to do it then after a 4-0 win and a solid defensive performance without him?
Dylan Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Weale Vitor Bamba Mee van Aanholt Oakley King Wellens Kamara Yakubu Gallagher Subs: Ricardo, Bruma, Naughton, Abe, Dyer, Vassell, Howard, We've just won 4-0, arguably our best performance in ages, so why change it? As much as I think Naughton is excellent, Vitor played very well at RB and looked comfortable- and is very good defensively. He did nothing wrong to be dropped so why drop him? Bruma shouldn't come anywhere near the starting line-up. With Naughton hopefully going to be fit, he'd need two injuries to be justified a place back in the team! Only changes I'd make to the squad is bringing Bruma and Naughton to THE BENCH, for Berner and Moreno. If it aint broke, don't fix it.
lcfc"weasel" Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 The team should not be changed, regardless of whether Naughton is fit.
LCFCmatt Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Vassell in for Yakubu Naughton in for Bamba (Vitor as centre-back)
Salieri Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 No brainer really, as you were unless Naughton's fit. If that's the case, I'd drop Bamba and shift Vitor inside.
Wymsey Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Bamba looked strong yesterday so he needs to be kept in if we are to get any chance of achieving a play-off place.
davieG Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 No change depends on whether you think Oakley's up to two game in such a short time and remember it was hot for them out there on Saturday which tends to drain your strength more. I rather think he isn't.
ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 No changes ideally, everyone was superb. Sort of expect Abe to come in for Oakley, would like to give Naughton more time to recover for Reading.

Libertine Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Yuki for Oakley. 3 in 10 days seems a bit much for Matt.
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Same team hopefully. No need to change anything after a 4-0 win & that performance. Stability is the way forward where possible. The only change I might consider making is bringing Abe in for Oakley for the same reason others have been suggesting. If Naughton is fit he would be unlucky to miss out with the way he's been playing but, as good as he has been, I'd still favour putting out an unchanged team after yesterday's performance.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING SVEN. NOT EVEN NAUGHTON FOR VITOR.
StanSP Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 I'd keep the same squad. The team would have gained confidence by winning in such a comfortable manner and hopefully this will be transferred to Tuesday. If Oakley's tiring (as was mentioned it'll be 3 in 10), bring Abe on. Simple as. If we're playing as comfortable as we were on Saturday, and have the goals to show for it, then make the subs. But the starting line up should be the same. As Bilo said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
