Cowie at Watford isn't shite either, but SGE will more likely get players like Shaun Wright-Phillips, Michael Owen etc. on loan - ones who don't give a fook about us.

ScouseFox Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Darren Pratley as well, an all round midfielder, he can tackle like Abe, score like King and still be involved, pass and move like Wellens. He'd be ideal, but he'll stay at Swansea again I assume, or move onto a lower PL club.

And as much as they're hated, I wouldn't mind King or Earnshaw- they can score at this level which is what we need. Marlon King's record with Cov isn't too bad.. and he had Bamba all day at the Walkers, so can win it in the air. Would say Jay Bothroyd but can see a Prem Club getting him.

He's immense once he's up to speed and we don't have any cover for him (or at least we won't next year). His main downside is that he's almost constantly coming back from injury.
