The Doctor Posted 19 April 2011 Posted 19 April 2011 Inspired by the latest loros magazine pushed through my door, advertising a sponsored hore ride. Sponsored Hore Ride around the beautiful and private woodland in Loddington, Leics. Minimum sposorship £20 for adults and £10 for children anyone else found anything like this?
StanSP Posted 19 April 2011 Posted 19 April 2011 On my phone I do a lot. A lot of the time I mean to write 'things' but I write 'thongs'. Obviously cos thongs is a real word my autocorrect won't change it .
Wycombe Fox Posted 19 April 2011 Posted 19 April 2011 I did one a couple of years ago when I had to write to the council about the house next door, a home for adults with learning difficulties. The 't' was just too close to the 'g' and I accidentally signed off with 'kind retards'. True story which I recalled on another thread a few months back (just in case any of you lads and lasses have heard it before!).

Did the council ever say anything about the retards bit?
cambridgefox Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 A girl i used to work with sent an e mail to a company called plants that grow and missed the L out and sent it .Pants that grow.one track mind the filthy whorebag!
Len Finsbury Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 I remember intercepting a letter addressed to a customer called Virginia but the receptionist has mistakenly typed it as Vagina! I was tempted to let it go but it was a reply to a complaint.
stripeyfox Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 I work for a UK arm of a German company. A couple of times I have sent emails to my German colleagues which start in the usual way "Further to our recent conversation...." etc etc but have missed out the "t" on Further. Which is a little bit funny.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 I caused much amusement when I first started work by confusing the words procuration and procreation in an internal memo. I predict less than 2 per cent of FTers will find this remotely amusing, and that's being optimistic

Kenners Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 The iPhone autocorrect changes WSBKS (World superbikes) for Wanks. 'Just gonna watch wanks' or 'The wanks were good' always goes down well with your mates. Ross Noble mentioned it on his tour too if you think you've heard it before.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 When I worked for the Northampton Journal our type-setters mispelt the headline, "World Carp Fair Comes To Town." Since it was Northampton no one would have noticed the difference.
samjohnson Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 Funnily enough, ive just stumbled across this thread, and the BBC screen said "DIY:SIS", but meant DIY:SOS... For this, I will now turn over and watch some football
