Did he have a summer transfer window? Which other teams build their team in january? Prefer to get loans over signings. Maybe he doesn't want to panic buy? Please give me a response to this. Because you'll probably duck the fact I've confronted you on that bullshit and say it in

another thread [/quote)

As someone who has a friend who does have the inside track I can TELL you that the owners only want to get loans in to get us up. That was the plan, and that may change but who knows. I also know for a fact that both Di Matteo and Zola were approached by our owners several weeks ago and spoken to, I put this in a thread at the time which was mostly dismissed.

This shows the owners are possibly unhappy with our progress and that changes may occur.

Di Matteo? Yes, please.. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Let the mercenary do one to Italy or Spain in the summer, so we have a manager who knows this league and more importantly the transfer market.

Some of the posts on here really are a bit, y'know, 'remedial.'

I'd love to see inside some of the houses of these people, just to discover whether there really is an LSD addled chimpanzee frantically bashing away at a keyboard as I expect.

FFS!

Di Matteo was given a premier league squad and added shit to it by signing the likes of Joe Mattock, but with the talent he already had in his squad Peter fcuking Taylor would have got that team promoted. Once WBA realised he was out of his depth they got rid.

Zola, nice bloke but again out of his depth at the moment when it comes to managing as proved by his spell at West Ham. Do you really want a nice guy Rob Kelly type managing us again?

I accept that Sven has made mistakes, but he will have learned about them and build his team in the summer and now he has experience of the Championship he will be know what to expect and be better prepared for it next season.

Replace him and we will be in a Relegation battle next year. What we need is stability and support for what is trying to be achieved here. Rome wasn't built in a day my friends.

So 'resting' Weale to give Ricardo a chance after Sven said Weale had been great, and then not playing him for several weeks, and prior to this dropping him in favour of loan keepers Ikeme & Kirkland who were both superb didn't mess with Weales confidence then? Great management.

I see your point! But season has been an erratic one to say the least! I'm not judging until he has had a pre season!

I hate the fact that due to your user name, there is a possibility that somebody may mistake one of your posts for one of mine.

Would you mine changing yours to 'Massive ****' please?

Season Synopsis:

Woeful preseason prep with a change of leadership swiftly followed by ownership. Dreadful start to the campaign resulting in change of manager. Much hype and talk of MON returning and the possibility of Sven. Sven came and turned it around when he was given the backing that Sousa was denied, I know this is a fact. Lee Hoos wouldn't pay for Noughton under PS but did so with Sven, we also had the option to take Lansbury from arsenal and Keiran Clark from villa but he was denied these plus a much admired centre half from Europe which may well have helped his course. I digress, Sven brought us much renewed hope and in the end it has turned out a bit flat.

Another season in the championship awaits us and more fun and games in the soap opera that is LCFC.

My insider at the club tells me we signed Bamba, Ricardo and Vassell because the owners finally decided they didn't want to get us up.

Spend should go as he's loaned a pile of kak, I'm glad the wankers on here will be hurting, but I don't care a fuk about them, my focus is now on the people who matter the Thai guys!!!

I would love them to sack that useless cvnt Spend, who's wasted a shed load of money on other peoples young and inexperienced players, and of course Yakoldman (YOU FAT BASTARDY CRAP MONEY GRABBER)

SPEND has SPENT and we have done FUK ALL.

SO BOLLOCKS TO EVERYBODY........THIS IS MY LAST POST OF THE SEASON.

FUK OFF AND GOODBYE.

Sven = world class manager. not an opinion its a fact. perspective required. we were bottom of the league. we can approach next year from a stronger position using a pre season properly

Bit of a stupid comeback from you but let me point out Ricardo & Vassel were free to join us & Bamba at 250k was cheaper than most of the loans we've got in.

Joining for free doesn't mean they're playing for free, too.

And are you saying most of our loan players have cost us more individually than Bamba's 250k alone? Name and shame!

Or is it just another case of hearsay?

Yakubu's 50k a month have long ago been dismissed as being false and I honestly can't see any of the youngster being on more than that...

Besides, what's wrong with signing loan players in a January transfer window with a manager that has only been at the club for roughly four months at that point in time? Certainly less risky than dishing out vast amounts of money on permanents that pan out to be flops.

Sven was a world class manager. He isn't the best guy for the championship and he does have flaws.

However anyone who wants him sacked is an idiot, Sven will get us there next season :scarf:

It wasn't Sven's "contacts" that made him "successful" this season. It was the new owners money that gave him the chance to improve the club. He may have lifted the gloom form the Sousa era but, despite this financial support, you wouldn't back this side to beat Pearson's.

I doubt if the owners are very happy. But unless Martin can be tempted back there is no point in calling for Sven's head. By christmas time next season we'll all be in a better position to judge. To be honest, I'm not that optimistic myself.

I'd back it to beat Pearson's on paper, man for man. Easily.

The difference is Pearson had time to put his team together, iron out the kinks, get them playing his system (which was altogether far more simple) and had the advantage of playing Cheltenham and Yeovil every week whilst he was putting it together.

We then got promoted on a high and stormed the league on a wave of high confidence and good form - Sven had the complete and total opposite.
