Hello Foxes,

We recently interviewed ex-Leicester winger Darren Eadie, who recalled the series of events that lead him to transfer to Filbert Street in 1999.

The interview is here: http://forgotabouthim.com/2011/04/24/interview-darren-eadie/ - but what did you all think when he signed for you, and how well did he do for you?

He only ended up making 40 appearances in four seasons, before having to retire in 2003 at just 28.

Don't think we ever got to see the best of him whilst he was here :dunno:

Should never have been signed in the first place. Another crock that got past the City "fitness test".

If fit he was quality but he could never shake of his injuries plus we had a decent first team back then which made getting first team games difficult.

One player that was forgotten was our all energy midfield player Scott Taylor, who was quite a decent signing but picked up an injury after we we're promoted and never really recovered, Savage was his replacement in my mind.

Lee Morris is another that springs to mind

Eadie was a great player at Norwich , had England potential without the injuries...

Another one was Corica , he was amazing until he got injured and then he was never the same player

Your right, Scott Taylor was an unsung hero, I remember him and Lennon with dyed blonde hair at Wembley against Palace, Taylor and Lennon tore them to bits that day.

Fully fit he was probably the quickest player in the country. I remember when we played Arsenal once and O'Neil must have instructed him to keep tabs on Henry due to our slow centre backs. Henry had a 10 yard head start on him from the half way line and was through on goal with no one to be seen. Eadie not only managed to catch him but over took him and pinched the ball from Henry's front!

Quite simply frightening pace - I put his dodgy knees down to the fact that he was abnormally fast and no knees in the world would have coped.

I vaguely recall a couple of games (Arsenal being one) where he was absolutely immense... There was also a lot of anticipation about his return from injury which he made a couple of failed attempts if memory serves...

Tunchev anyone?...
