Alright ambitious!

Yea, they've stopped me posting on that username, I did go too far to be fair, I apologise to those who I upset, I'd had no sleep and wasn't thinking straight.

Westwood would be a cracking signing on a free. No doubt we could throw some silly money at him, added with the Eriksson factor and we may have a chance.

Happy Sven is chasing after Westwood. Heard Wigan want him too but I think wigan are coming down this year so it will be interesting

We're a much bigger club than Wigan

People keep talking about championship players sven isnt likey to sign any if you look at what hes brought in so far. There all ex-internationals or young lads who carnt quite break through to play in the premiership. Westwoods a good keeper but i would be very suprised if sven goes for him when we have got a chance to get given.

Sigh...

Have you not thought for a minute that it is because they are the only people willing to come to another team during midseason? And the inflated prices that were seen in the jan transfer season. Give sven some credit. He will get players from both championship and premiership and probs elsewhere

Yeah but who is currently in the premiership and who Isnt :/

In the relegation zone though and look a decent bet to come down, which would spark an exodus of quality players.

If Wigan are relegated, they'll probably end up with Chris Kirkland between the sticks to be honest.

We'll have to wait and see but i'd be suprised if he bought one championship player.

He should just retire, its so obvious his body can't hack it any more.

If Wigan go down, I'd love to have Cleverley back (is he on loan there or was he sold?)

On loan.

I have a feeling he'll be staying at OT next season to be honest, can see Ferguson wanting to ease him into the side after a season of Premiership experience elsewhere as he clearly has talent.

I was just about to mention Gibson and believe the above is true too. Cleverley has more flair and skill whereas Gibson is one of the dullest players at the club. Not THE dullest though - Wes Brown or Hargreaves can have that title.

I don't want to see Cleverley sat on the bench at OT though. He's got a lot of enthusiasm and wouldn't want to see that go to waste.

Would like to see Eriksson test the waters abit though with a bid for TC.

Owen Hargreaves, when fit, is the best defensive midfielder England has. He's not 'dull,' though I don't even know what's meant by that.

England would've been a fantastic unit had they had Hargreaves to select. Classic example of injuries crippling talent.

We were very close to signing Gibson a few years back, until Man Utd went in for him.

I've seen Westwood make some right howlers, he's also a flamboyant shot stopper who sometimes makes easy saves look better than they are. Given is much better.

Given would also demand 6 or 7 times the wages of Westwood and is 7 years older though. For me along with Paddy Kenny the best 2 keepers outside of the Prem playing in this country. Would be a top signing that would not cost the earth.
