sven-your-smiling Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 weak from a long shot again he seems to be letting one in every other game. he was good last season and a mistake was very surprising. this season he is a completely different keeper and is weak. your thoughts???
nickelbyfox Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Was recently in England and watched the Palace and Reading games live, then Forest game on TV. Needless to say he was pretty poor, seems to have lost confidence and is playing shit recently! Cost us 3 point in those three matches imo Correct me if I am mistaken but has there been any game this season any of our keepers have been very good bar Logan at pompey if i remember correctly.

Haydos Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 You've not even seen the goal today. There is literally no reason for this thread. 95% of people realise he's not good enough and needs replacing come summer.
sdb Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Yep, will be interested to see what people at the game (!) thought.
ScouseFox Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 I was there and didn't see it. But he should've definitely done better And he almost miscontrolled a backpass, very Derby away last year.

Mav Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 To be fair it was right in the top corner but nearly scored an own goal when a backpass bounced over his foot...
Haydos Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 yes i have on my way home - did this on my phone, so ............................ think before u post Fair enough. My point still stands though.
Fox92 Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 I've never rated him, right from day 1 when he joined the club. He's a back up goalkeeper, hence why he has only played few games in his career and why he has played for clubs such as Hereford and Yeovil. No communication, poor distribution, shaky from long distance and he hardly gets his body behind the ball.

This is the big thing I have always said about him, and the whole team tbh, something the immediately changed when Pearson came in, you could see the whole team communicating, then when Pearson left the communication seemed to stop. Sven said it's the quietest team he's worked with and I agree, but it's Sven job to sort this out really, get them communicating, get leaders, get a team spirit going...or as others would say 'get some pashun in the team'
Brown Fox Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 The volley straight at him today that slipped through his hands had me shitting bricks. Thought it had flown in but luckily went for a corner. Oh and he almost scored an own goal by running the ball into the net. Just saying for you people that didn't go. Oh and he had no chance with the goal.
JoeyB Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 couldn't have done much with the goal i don't think, one of those volleys that you score 1/10 times
Fox92 Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 And he almost miscontrolled a backpass, very Derby away last year. I know, its because he lets the ball run across his body first.
ousefox Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Wasn't really much he could do about the goal i thought. Although he could have caught one long shot and nearly let it in his own net at one point! Definitely need a keeper as a priority in the summer.
Gaffer Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 I know, its because he lets the ball run across his body first. I have kittens every time he does this. No need.
iloveleicester Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Whenever the other team has the ball and eyes up a shot i get very nervous. And when weale has the ball i
Sergio Hellings Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Not had decent 1 really since Ian Walker, Henderson crosses, Douglas well just him period, loads of loaners, Conrad ropey.......... and Chris to the list coz against forest could of controlled it with his foot goin that slow, wank.
Father Ted Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 As somebody has said to me, Ricardo was brought in because Weale had a back injury and was really struggling. Unfortunately, some ****** wanted Ricardo out and Weale in and unfortunately Weale has still got this injury and hasn't been given enough time to recover. I watched him carefully in the warm up and after every diving save, he was moving slowly and gingerly. Believe of it what you will but it all makes sense.

Weale should go. The only motivation he should have is to phone is agent and find himself and new club. Bristol Rovers are looking for a better keeper I hear.
Corky Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 He looked to have no chance with the goal, however the backpass he nearly let in was a worrying moment.
ajthefox Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Was a quality strike today, criticising Weale for not saving it would be very harsh. He was however very shakey generally, the backpass as mentioned, one shot straight at him that nearly went through his hands and a couple others, not to mention shit distribution as per. I was a big fan of Weale but I've got no confidence in him anymore and from the looks of it he has no confidence in himself either and we can't afford take the risk with him next season. A new, reliable keeper is an absolute must, Sven.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Was a quality strike today, criticising Weale for not saving it would be very harsh. But you know for a fact, if it was Ricardo, it should have been saved.
