vandamman Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 Isn't Barnes a midfielder and Fagan a striker? Yes and just to add, isn't Barnes good and Fagan crap?
millzi Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 Someone said John Fleck right at the start, he's a great prospect. And IF, and it's a big IF and I know it's a little far fetched, but if Football manager is anything to go by in terms of great prospects, then I'll definitely have a bit of Alex Smithies and Tom Cairney please
Simmsy Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 If football manager is anything to go buy, Alex Smithies will be Englands second choice goalkeeper by 2013 millzi... :L

MikeyT Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 What with Harry Redknapp saying he's going to be letting a few players go over the summer i wouldn't mind us looking at Niko Kranjcar. Always liked him.
The People's Hero Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 I'd be after Kevin Phillips, Jimmy Kebe, Simon Cox, Andy Reid (yep, ol' fatty himself), Darren Ambrose and Peter Whittingham amongst others.
MikeyT Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 I'd be after Kevin Phillips, Jimmy Kebe, Simon Cox, Andy Reid (yep, ol' fatty himself), Darren Ambrose and Peter Whittingham amongst others. I'd take them all bar Kevin Phillips.

Titus Bramble?
NorthernFox Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 I'd be after Kevin Phillips, Jimmy Kebe, Simon Cox, Andy Reid (yep, ol' fatty himself), Darren Ambrose and Peter Whittingham amongst others. I'd take them all and especially Kevin Phillips. Still fit, still sharp, still scores goals.
sdb Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 Bramble is too good for this level, Anton Ferdinand is League 1 standard.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 @ MikeyT and Adster Titus Bramble is actually a fairly decent Premier League defender, unfortunately he's prone to lapses of concentration which seem to be punished more often than not, and get highlighted no end by our media. Add that to the fact he looks a bit simple, and there's an unfair reputation that follows him around. He's not bad at all, in honesty, he'd be more than adequate here.
vandamman Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 Michael Bradley? American international on loan at Villa from some German side. Looks to be out of the picture at his home club and seems to be a good dynamic player in the central of the park when i've seen him. Random I know but could be a worth a punt.

These might be completely mental choices, but i am 15. I think we should buy titus just for the name alone!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 These might be completely mental choices, but i am 15. I think we should buy titus just for the name alone! There are a lot of names on your list that are stupid, yeah. They're either shite or unrealistic, I don't think Bramble is one, mind.

I do strongly believe Kebe and Maynard will come to us, and that the Yak will be back, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is a class player but it's whether we would splash out on him cuz i know United want him, but the temptation for young players is first team football, which he wont get there. Danny Drinkwater is defo worth a bit of dosh. I think his run at watford was pretty good, and signing him from united would be a good move for the young guy who can learn a lot I just like Steve Fletcher tbh and Tim Racon, charlton's captain is a pretty class act. El Mohamdy is first team, but he;;s playing like shit on a shovel. FOR US, he'd be ok, i can see it.

Wolves shelled out big style for the latter, incredibly over-priced, and wouldn't want to let him go for much less than they bought him for. Kebe and Maynard are more reasonable shouts, we could do far better than Racon though. Nothing special. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If Norwich don't make his move a permanent, I wouldn't mind Sven trying to prise Henri Lansbury away from Arsenal.
1991FOX Posted 10 May 2011 Posted 10 May 2011 Bramble is an experienced premiership defender! For those that think he isn't good enough for us must be daydreaming! Not saying he's first on my list and to be honest I don't think we have to look further than vitor and mee for CB's next season but if it's experience were lacking he certainly fits the bill
Adster Posted 11 May 2011 Posted 11 May 2011 Jason shackell has been linked 2 mil i hope not Just googled it, first thing came up was a article from FootballRumours.com.

I totally understand what you're saying, but i've just never been a fan at all and wouldn't really want him. Just my opinion for what it's worth.
MikeyT Posted 11 May 2011 Posted 11 May 2011 Stringers Twitter moments ago: Sven told me yesterday he expects to do some early business when the Premier League season is over. Let's hope it's a loanee offered terms
