danielbones666 Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 He often goes missing especially in the big games. Besides, if Copenhagen want to keep him, I don't see why he'd Swap CL football for the Championship. Another potential issue is his nationality. There might be issues with a work permit and he'd likely be off to the Americas every now and then at crucial times. Used to watch him in Norway. But I see your points
Ric Flair Posted 18 May 2011 Posted 18 May 2011 Thorsten Frings has been released by Werder Bremen. Give him the nod.

Adster Posted 18 May 2011 Posted 18 May 2011 Anyways, I think this lad would be a great addition, on a free too. Hermann Hreidarsson, Big, strong, experienced centre back. Worth a shout i'd say.
Bugg Posted 18 May 2011 Posted 18 May 2011 James Henry from Millwall, Darren Pratley or Neil Danns, Michael Brown, Kevin McNaughton (might be a bit of a twat but good player) and Matt Mills (very unlikely) would be my choices.
Father Ted Posted 18 May 2011 Posted 18 May 2011 Anyways, I think this lad would be a great addition, on a free too. Hermann Hreidarsson, Big, strong, experienced centre back. Worth a shout i'd say. At 38? I dont think so.
Ozwin Posted 18 May 2011 Posted 18 May 2011 I like your style. Two defensive midfield players, definitely. I was at Man U for their match versus Marseilles ( hated every minute ) - Scholes and Carrick sat in front of the back four and let the other four up front run all over the place. Clean sheet and Man U were through - won the match with a clean sheet. That is what we need to do - the front four formation can be loose, just go and get some goals and help out covering and defending where and when needed. I have been banging on for months that Wellens in the team spoils our balance, not saying he is crap, just not what we need unless he is one of the front four. Yuki Abe with a proper defensive midfield player gives us all the balance we will need, and would give us the Championship title next season. In some games, maybe Wellens could play, as Scholes is sometimes left out of the Man U side for Giggs or another forward going midfield player, depending on who the opposition are. We must have the opportunity to play with two midfielders capable of actually helping our defensive set up. Yeah, I think we need a pure defensive midfielder though because Abe isn't an out and out anchor man.
nickelbyfox Posted 18 May 2011 Posted 18 May 2011 I would fancy a couple players from Palace which cant be too expensive, as they just avoided the drop! Speroni would be a good championship keeper and decent prem back up Neil Danns is a good energetic DM Nathaniel Clyne is a decent RB Ambrose a decent winger
Adster Posted 18 May 2011 Posted 18 May 2011 At 38? I dont think so. Ryan Giggs is 37, you wouldn't have him also then?
SMX11 Posted 18 May 2011 Posted 18 May 2011 Ryan Giggs is 37, you wouldn't have him also then? A bit of difference in ability.
Adster Posted 18 May 2011 Posted 18 May 2011 A bit of difference in ability. True, but thd lad I said is more than capable in this division.
ryanlcfc Posted 18 May 2011 Posted 18 May 2011 daniel sturridge wants first team football and so wants to leave chelsea
Cat Burger Posted 18 May 2011 Posted 18 May 2011 Ryan Giggs is 37, you wouldn't have him also then? If Herman has a yoga dvd out too I'm all for it.
Adster Posted 18 May 2011 Posted 18 May 2011 If Herman has a yoga dvd out too I'm all for it. No can do then I'm afraid, sorry Car Burger
80footgiraffe Posted 18 May 2011 Posted 18 May 2011 daniel sturridge wants first team football and so wants to leave chelsea he'll get nabbed up by bolton or some other prem team unfortunately. Would be a classy buy from sven though! Anyone know when sven is putting pen to paper for anyone? Know this q is a longshot
80footgiraffe Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 come on sven, sign someone.....ANYONE. just get someone signed up, im impatient. i like that sharp from donny, he's be a bit of class. He's also future material so splash out a bit perhaps. Alex chamberlain from s'hampton. sign him before he realises everyone else wants him. Kebe from Reading. Best winger in the divison, and even if reading dont go up, reading fans dont think he's got much time left with the royals. Also, according to the mirror article, we can pay him a substantial pay rise.... NICKY MAYNARD grab him quick, and westwood.
