Aron Gunnarsson - Coventry. Central midfield competition for King, Oakley and Wellens.

or

Chris Eagles - Burnley. Wing competition for Dyer, Gallagher and Vassell.

Michael Owen - he will leave old trafford in the summer - yes he could go to another premier league club but sven might convince him to join us

A lot depends on whether Sven wants to play 4-5-1 (4-3-3) or 4-4-2 but I'll go with a 4-4-2 as Sven has indicated it's his preference ultimately. As much as I'd like Vitor back, we'll never get him permanently so should concentrate our efforts elsewhere in defence where we have a chance of snagging the Man City youngsters. Similarly, we should not break the bank for Naughton assuming our budget is limited to £8m (arbitrary figure). I'm also buying players with the intention of supplying quick, quality ball to wide players.

Players I'd look to buy/loan for a 4-4-2:

GK Kieran Westwood (Free): No brainer, a very decent keeper on a free.

DR: Kyle Naughton (no more than £3m)

Experienced, positionally sound RB (nominal)

DL: Greg Cunningham (Loan)

DC: Abdoulaye Faye (nominal)/Experienced, tough CB who can organise a young back 4

Ben Mee (Loan/£1.5m).

MR/L: Pablo Barrerra (Loan/£2.5m); very pacey and tricky winger who has had no chance at West Ham due to circumstance

Jimmy Kebe (up to £2.5m)

MC: Josh McEacharan (Loan)

Big Black Beast (Nominal)

SC: Danny Graham (£2.5m)/Mobile striker good in the air.

Nicky Maynard (up to £4m, would be great signing and worth the fee IMO)

Sell: A King (£5-6m); in an ideal world I wouldn't sell, but for the fee we could command, we can improve the side immeasurably)

Hobbs (£1m); Seems to have no future under Sven

Waghorn; (£1.5m) Ditto

Team: Westwood, Naughton, Faye, Mee, Cunningham, Barrera, Abe, Big Black Beast, Kebe, Graham, Maynard

1st team squad: Wellens, McEacharan, Bamba, Tunchev, Vassell, Schlupp, Weale, Gallagher

For a 4-5-1, I'd be inclined to keep King and sacrifice the signing of Maynard

Heskey will be suspended for the first game/s of next season if he plays the next 45 minutes for villa the same he did the 1st. He was losing it big time.

For me...Westwood

Cunningham

Naughton

Mee

Faye

Kebe

Heskey

Yakubu

What was going on? Apparently he was restrained in the tunnel at HT. unsure.gif

Yeah just read that. Didn't see it, nor exactly what bothered him due to the crappy stream. Think he got an elbow to the head at one point (he motioned as much to the ref, who he got physical with), and kept pointing out a Wigan player (didn't show who, perhaps Caldwell). Only time i've seen him go as nuts is in the tunnel v Turkey years back after A.Cole got racially abused by Alpay (i think). And v Henderson earlier in the season (whom I think is a little shit of a person). Anyway...yeah, on the receiving end of a few rough challenges i think (and hopefully nothing more).

In an ideal(non existent) world, sven would sign form players and proven championship lads.

Julian Speroni

Jack Cork

Jimmy Kebe

Aron Gunnarson

John Guidetti

Simeon Jackson(can't see him getting in their prem squad, he only really played a part for them towards the end anyway)

Anthony Pilkington

A seasoned centre back(I want someone brutal!)

id be greedy and get Yakubu , derby are trying to get micheal owen, so if they think they have a chance we certainly have, heskey, maybe sign kirkland for gk cover.

axel witsel

kieren gibbs

victor moses

scott brown

and kristof van hout

Yang Chanpeng

then opposition would shit themselves with a giant in goal and upfront for owen to run under yangs legs and score lol

GK - Westwood, Speroni or how about two new names to the mix. What would be the chance of Robert Green from West Ham if they are relegated or Reading's Adam Federici depending on their status next season.

DF - Cunningham, Chirs Morgan (Sheff Utd) if fit, a real old fashioned no nonsense centre half,

MF - Whittingham (Cardiff) always a fan, Kebe (Reading), Kightly (Wolves), Yeates (Sheff Utd)

ST - Cox (WBA), Lambert (Southampton), prolific goalscorer who I am sure will bag a hatful in the Championship next season if still at St Mary's. Graham (Watford), Mackail-Smith (P'boro), Becchio (Leeds)

Of the current loanees Naughton, Vitor, Yak, Mee are the only ones I would love to return

Keeping Tunch on a new deal of some kind will be like signing a new centre half, I am sure if he can prove his fitness he will be a class act next season

I know all the names are would like to see strengthen us come from the UK, however I know Sven will use his huge contact book to secure names from abroad and some who may be unknown quantities.

Any finally those who I predict to move on are Neilson, Hobbs, Logan, Berner (sadly), Howard, Ricardo, Dyer (hope not but possible), Kennedy, Moreno, N'Guessan, Lamey.
