JJS84 Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 As our new number 1 i'd like to see David Stockdale back at the club. I know he has had chances at Fulham, 7 starts this season, but he is behind Schwarzer. If they go after a big money signing, i just wonder if we couldnt twist there arm and help finance there spending spree.
Fosse Boy Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13282216.stm Anyone fancy him?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13282216.stm Anyone fancy him? Buying from Scots teams that aren't Rangers or Celtic is like buying from a League One team. Sad, but true.
jamiegoode Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 id be greedy and get Yakubu , derby are trying to get micheal owen, so if they think they have a chance we certainly have, heskey, maybe sign kirkland for gk cover. axel witsel kieren gibbs victor moses scott brown and kristof van hout Yang Chanpeng then opposition would shit themselves with a giant in goal and upfront for owen to run under yangs legs and score
AlphaMaleFox Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 Dear City, please sign this guy! ...Ehrr, too late: Dutch club VVV-Venlo sign him already, bastards
bmt Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 Ryo Miyaichi. I know most people prefer permanent to loan signings but I feel this kid could be the real deal to help us get promoted. For those of you that don't know him, watch this: Ryo is an 18 year old Japanese winger at Feyenoord on loan from Arsenal. He is very pacey, very skillful, can shoot and cross, and has been suggested as the next big thing at Arsenal. He has had trouble getting a work permit for English Football, but there are suggestions that he may be granted one this summer if he starts playing for the Japan national team (which seems quite likely). To me he is what we need, a quick left winger with good final product (unlike Dyer). The video above shows the highlights from his first 4 competitive games, as before this season he only played for a Japanese school team, however he has fitted into competitive football remarkably well, immediately making an impact with the Feyenoord faithful. With Yuki Abe in the squad to help him settle, and with Wenger recognising Leicester as one of the better championship teams to loan to (and with our comparitively good style of play with SGE at the helm) , I think he would be an ideal signing. Many arsenal fans have been calling for him to go into the first team squad next season, but I think Wenger would like to give him a season to settle into the physical nature of English football and to gain much needed first team experience. I also think Japanese players will try hard wherever they are playing. Anyone agree? NB. I know the danger of recommending a player on youtube videos and hearsay (enter Kermogant, Kaebi, Hellings), but this one does look a bit special, doesn't he?
The Doctor Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 http://news.bbc.co.u...ll/13282216.stm Anyone fancy him? deek Fairly good player - would be a worthwile signing, even if only as backup. also Andy Driver (Hearts) & David Goodwillie (Dundee Utd) would be good signings as well.
bmt Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 Quite an 'Ambitious' signing that would be... Was this aimed at me, because if so I'm not all about the unknown or ridiculous players. My transfer targets would be: Graham/Maynard Yakubu Given (or Westwood, Smithies etc.) St Ledger or similar if Tunch isn't going to be all there next season Naughton Then Mee, Cunningham, Bruma (to play DM!) back on loan. And then Miyaichi as i think we're missing a pacey winger. I would run out of money so quick it is unreal haha.

Had one good season for PNE, went on loan to Middlesborough and has been dreadful ever since..
bmt Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 Surely not? Had one good season for PNE, went on loan to Middlesborough and has been dreadful ever since.. Point taken, think he has ability though. I was gonna say someone in the Williams mould but I think he has been overrated recently, and would cost too much.

I've mentioned in this forum that we should get this lad on loan too, think it could happen as well. Edit: He's also a beast for me on fifa

Edit: He's also a beast for me on fifa Never heard of him till i found him on fifa and found he was even faster than bale and on a free second season
Adster Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 Never heard of him till i found him on fifa and found he was even faster than bale and on a free second season  Exactly the same as me mate, I never heard of him until I got him on a free in the second season, he grows rapidly and he has 90 pace

Oh I didn't mean it like mate, I was just saying that I've also noticed that he'd be a good signing I've heard that also, reckon Sven can pull a few strings with Wenger and get him in
alex walker Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 that ryo michachi <spelling looks a beast he's dead quick he'd tear up this leauge
zubi Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 that ryo michachi <spelling looks a beast he's dead quick he'd tear up this leauge Although I think the reason he was playing in the dutch league this season on loan was because he couldn't get a work permit to play in England
woznotwos Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 I'm tempted to say Shaun Derry, but we've had bad experiences with bringing in promotion-winning leaders - Oakley and Clemence were supposed to bring us the leadership to take us out of the Championship. To be fair, they did.
bmt Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 Although I think the reason he was playing in the dutch league this season on loan was because he couldn't get a work permit to play in England Correct, but apparently he's expected to play for japan in their matches during summer and the fact he is what football manager would call a 'wonderkid' means he is very likely to be able to get a permit this year (Yuki Abe was granted a permit due to his role for Japan during the World Cup, and it would be a similar situation).
