What a ridiculous story. Any fan that can say that is just a loser anyway and we're better off without em.
Jakemoore Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 And then he scores a hat-trick against Derby and we'd all love him. Look, what he did was wrong and he should still be inside but the fact is, he's a scorer and we need one of those so I'd welcome his signature. P.s she's a loser.
Charl91 Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 While she pisses me of with the fact that she makes it all about women ('cus men are the kind of people that love sex offenders?) I can kind of see where she's coming from - not sure if I could wholeheartedly support a guy like Marlon King. Howeverm to say you're never attending a match again (even when he's left/retired?) is very OTT, and to be fair, he has served his sentence already.
Cat Burger Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Fair play to her. It's up to each individual whether they boycott or not. I certainly agree with the point concerning the message being put across to female fans. Saying that, I don't remember anything like this occurring when we signed Collymore. I think this article WILL give Sven something to think about...
Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 God forbid anyone should have a different opinion to you.
somebum Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 I dont give a fcuk how many goals he scores against Derby, Forest or any other rat bast_ard club, I will never, ever support a loser like King.
Wymsey Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 I wouldn't boycott regarding the fact that if he does come here, he'll have my support and he's the type of striker we need. Look at Joey Barton for example, no Newcastle fans boo him/boycott the club due to his bad history when he plays. What he does away from the pitch is his own problem, and not ours if he behaves well on the pitch, training ground, changing room etc and scores a good few.
gazfox9 Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 I dont give a fcuk how many goals he scores against Derby, Forest or any other rat bast_ard club, I will never, ever support a loser like King. I echo that view. I could never take my young son down to the walkers with Marlon King one of his 'heroes'.
AdamN Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 I dont give a fcuk how many goals he scores against Derby, Forest or any other rat bast_ard club, I will never, ever support a loser like King. Going by your posting history, you may have to clarify that you are indeed on about Marlon King, and not Andy King. But for once, I think I might actually agree with something somebum has said. I feel a little bit dirty, if I'm honest...
LCFCMickey Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 "King has convictions for 14 offences, dating from 1997.[30][31] He received fines, driving bans, community service sentences, a rehabilitation order and orders to pay compensation on convictions including: theft from a person and from a car, criminal damage, and attempting to obtain property by deception; fraudulent use of vehicle licence document, driving without insurance, speeding, drink driving; a wounding incident while playing amateur football, and two cases involving assault of young women rejecting his advances in the Soho area of London" - wiki What a w.... he isn't prem and he is clearly a twit. Why are we looking at him?
Haydos Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 This has come up again and my point of view remains the same. I couldn't support him as a player, I could chant his name, I'd feel weird after I'd celebrated him scoring. I don't respect him as a person and that would continue if he were to play for us.
Fosse Boy Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/news/Fans-threaten-boycott-Foxes-sign-striker-King/article-3508760-detail/article.html She said that if King did join the club she would "never attend matches again". What a ridiculous story. Any fan that can say that is just a loser anyway and we're better off without em. What's it to you? If she doesn't agree with the club's policy then good for her. The club have us as fans in an unconditional bind of loyalty but if somebody has some kind of moral opposition to a signing then fair play to them for making a stand against it.
FoxyPV Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 No thanks. People take violence against women far too lightly. It would gall me to hear our fans cheer him.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 She'll come back when he's scored 20 goals before Christmas.
KingDarius Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 I wouldnt go as far as that and boycott the club but i do think there are better players out there other than this scumbag and would be pissed off to think that every bit of money i and the rest of the fans spend at the club might be going towards paying a * his wege at the end of tbe week
hackneyfox Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 And then he scores a hat-trick against Derby and we'd all love him. Why is she the loser and not you and Larry for accepting any scum as a player? At least she has some principles.
hackneyfox Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 I wouldnt go as far as that and boycott the club but i do think there are better players out there other than this scumbag and would be pissed off to think that every bit of money i and the rest of the fans spend at the club might be going towards paying a * his wege at the end of tbe week Cut the rapist bit please.
Father Ted Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Seriously, these reactions have been ott. I would be delighted if he signed, he knows where the net is and thats all that matters. What happens in his life, I couldnt give a toss about. Theres only 1 player I wouldnt tolerate and that would be lee Hughes.
Bettsj2 Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 I know it's not the same thing but when David Speedie signed there were talks of protests and boycotts etc and within 10 games and a few goals all was forgiven. I dont like what Marlon King did one little bit, but the noises he's made since coming out of jail are that he's reformed, sorry for what he did and looking to just concentrate on his game and not make the same mistakes again. He's served his time and from his performances for Coventry, seems to have concentrated on his game and straightened himself out. Society is quick to condemn but slow to forgive. I say give him a chance. There probably isn't even any truth in the rumour anyway.
topharry123 Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 I can't stand the guy, but anyone wearing a blue shirt and playing for us on match day will get my support. I'm not going to go out of my way to like him/cheer for him, but I can;t bring myself to boo any city player regardless of what he's done. No good can come of it. If Sven has made up his mind to play him, then booing and boycotting can only hurt the club. The owners and the manager know how the fans fell prior to signing him, so any negativity afterwards won't make the sightest bit of difference. Everyone is entitled to their own views, and if that's the lady's opinion so be it. Either way, if he's playing in a city shirt, while on the pitch he'll get my support, not my respect, regardless of what he does.
