Liamlcfc1 Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Paul Lambert is Paul Lambert. Martin O'Neill is Martin O'Neill. was thinking he reminds me of a young MON
ajthefox Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Fair play to them, they've done brilliantly well to get where they have done and have decent support so well done. fingers crossed reading do the play-offs although I rekon Cardiff will finally grow some balls and actually win one.
Howard9 Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Couldnt have happened to a more deserving club to be honest. been pretty much conistent this season and have had real characters in the team. hope we follow them next season and playing them in the premier league
Haydos Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Urgh. Definitely didn't mean the 'sour grapes-bad bunch' pun. My bad It worked though Yeah, Cardiff don't bug me too much bar Bellamy and Chopra. Still wouldn't like to seem them go up due to last year. Wouldn't begrudge Swansea or Reading promotion though.
MattyFromLE Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 I like Norwich, good bunch of fans and players show real grit and determination. Just a question though, if QPR get point deducted, they'll drop into the play offs won't they?
Halfsy Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Hugely envious of Norwich, certainly the best team i have seen at The Walkers this year, in spite of some naive defending from us (of course.) Hopefully Reading join them, i don't particularly like them, but i was very impressed with them at the Madejski and obviously prefer them to the other three sides in the play-offs. I think Norwich would be very ordinary without Hoolahan or Holt and can't see them realistically signing much quality, so i would have thought they'll come straight back down. Paul Lambert incidentally applied for the vacancy at Leicester after Pearson's departure, would have been interesting to see what he would have done here. I'm sure we'll be up there next season under Sven, though.

Halfsy Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 I thought he applied for the job when we went down to league 1? So before Pearson? I may be wrong though! I've been informed, reliably, it was after Pearson left. In which case, he could have applied for it on both occasions? Interesting though, wonder what Norwich fans would make to it! X

z-layrex Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Ery pleased for them, great club. Now let's just hope reading or swansea win the playoffs.
Halfsy Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 As did Jose Mouriniho and Alex Ferguson... Not meaning to piss on your bonfire, mate. But i've got a bit of an inside track, and he certainly did apply for the job here.
lestajigs Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 For our sake I hope Cardiff win the playoffs, think there the strongest team, and I hate going there!!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 no one wants the Welsh sides to go up because they are Welsh and shit.
MattyFromLE Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Would like to see a Reading vs Leeds/Forest final, and then laugh at the Florests when they come home crying, and then when we rip 'um a new one next year. Twice.
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Definitely. We'd be almost unplayable for most at this level if we could supplement our passing game with mental toughness and tenacity. Absolutely right
Finnegan Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 no one wants the Welsh sides to go up because they are Welsh and shit. Oh, what's this in my pond? A worm? On a hook? Ooo, OM NOM NOM NOM.
The Doctor Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 I like Norwich, good bunch of fans and players show real grit and determination. Just a question though, if QPR get point deducted, they'll drop into the play offs won't they? depending on how many QPR might drop into the play-offs - in which case narwich would claim the title. If that happens then i hope swansea claim 3rd spot next saturday so they'd get the 2nd automatic spot if QPR drop in to the play-offs.
Fox92 Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Glad for Norwich really. Best team I've seen all season -- pass it about really well and work hard for each other. I've always liked Paul Lambert, as a player and manager, and he's worked wonders. If you look at the Norwich team, most of their top players are lower league players, such as Grant Holt, but that lower league desire and fantastic management seems to have worked very well.
Father Ted Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Im glad for norwich. My favourite team out of the top 5 and imo the only real one that can claim to be there judging by their fanbase. Best team thats been at the walkers this season and I might have a cheeky pop on Paul Lambert to succeed SAF.
