vjbapu Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/qpr-fans-furious-over-ticket-price-increase-2288769.html Some of the prices quoted here are ridiculous, I know I wouldn't bother going to more than a game a season If it was THAT high. I suppose ticket prices would go up everywhere, but by this much? I'd doubt the same would happen here, but you never know. Oh and it makes me happy to know we have some sound owners at the club.
Nick Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 London Club - London Prices? Still - 47 quid match tickets are really steep. I bet they sell out though.
Guest Bilo Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 They'll be back in a year or two anyway. It seems their owners are more interested in making money from the club than spending it and Warnock isn't a Premiership manager. Relegation followed by pissed off fans voting with their feet. Nice going lads.
ajthefox Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 If City charge anything like that if we get back in the prem I won't be going. Absurd.
Dan Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Seriously I've been fvcking livid since I read that. "Boutique club", my absolute nightmare, I'd hate them more than Forest if they achieved that scruffy fat dullard Briatore's dream. Total anti-football club.
Guest Bilo Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Just found a quote that said they want the club to be like a 50 room hotel rather than a 400 room hotel in order to give a uniquely personalised experience. The whole idea makes me fvcking vomit. Give me a Travelodge club any day of the week.
Samilktray Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Didnt realise so many people on a Leicester forum were planning on buying a QPR season ticket.
sphericalfox Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Okay so this is cheap way of getting your attention. It's really QPR that have announced increases of up to 40% for season ticket prices for their Premiership season. QPR fans bend over a barrel The question is, and it's being very optimistically presumptuous, should we seek assurances from our owners about a freeze on prices, ala Bolton, so we don't get smashed in the back doors. The owners will be spending lots of money, perhaps more than QPR have done over the last two seasons. Will they want to recoup their expenditure quickly, and in such a reprehensible manner? It seems to me that QPR's owners are being VERY disrespectful. Who wants to start the petition to freeze prices if we go up or not?
bmt Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 I don't think "freezing" prices would be fair on the owners. 40% however, is a disgrace.
Guest Bilo Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 1) Already a thread in General Football & Sport 2) That's where this one belongs anyway
sphericalfox Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 That link is from 2008. inserts triple palmface photograph and shuffles off in disparity and gloom
Benji Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Small ground so the club knows it'll sell out regardless.
Houdini Logic Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Just found a quote that said they want the club to be like a 50 room hotel rather than a 400 room hotel in order to give a uniquely personalised experience. The whole idea makes me fvcking vomit. Give me a Travelodge club any day of the week. Leicester 'etap' City Pride!
rico Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Seems their vice chairmans not happy about the increases either
samjohnson Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Its not as if they need the money... The owners are multi-billionaires for christ's sake! Pure greed. Its beginning to turn into American sports. Next we'll have half time shows, fireworks, sexy cheerleaders and... sexy cheerleaders and.... sexy cheerleaders and... Ok, maybe this isnt a bad thing, but £47 to see QPR get trounced upon every week? Naaaaaaah!
Electricity Sports 1960 Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 QPR have increased their ticket prices by about 67% after their promotion to the Premiership. Prices now range FROM £47 to £72. Would you be prepared to pay that much if City were promoted?
Brown Fox Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Woah woah woah. The cheapest ticket is £47!?!? Surely that can't be true!?
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 QPR have increased their ticket prices by about 67% after their promotion to the Premiership. Prices now range FROM £47 to £72. Would you be prepared to pay that much if City were promoted? No, but I'd bet the club would find 20,000 idiots who would.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Woah woah woah. The cheapest ticket is £47!?!? Surely that can't be true!? http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/may/25/qpr-fans-anger-ticket-prices The cheapest tickets will be £47 while season tickets are up by almost 40% from last term, although with four home games less in the Premier League compared to the npower Championship, the increase is even more in real terms.
Legend_in_blue Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 Seeing Warnock raving up and down the touchline next season when the slightest decision goes against him will be worth the entrance fee alone. How does a tin-pot club get away with charging such silly prices? There ought to be a cap on them.
Brown Fox Posted 25 May 2011 Posted 25 May 2011 That's a ****ing disgrace seriously. Bunch of twats. Laksmhi Mittal bought his share in December 2007 and the first game he attended was March 2011 against us. Joke of a club. Half of their fanbase is plastic anyway, why pay £47 quid for QPR when you can go to Chelsea or Fulham for probably £20 less? I'd be surprised if they fill their stadium every week.
