SOCCERROO FOX Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Hang on to your wallet, camera, bags, etc in Rome. Florence in lovely... enjoy. As for Pisa, I found it crashingly boring and commercialised, but maybe that was just me. Have a good time and, erm, enjoy the coach trip! Agree with you about Pisa if you spend more than an hour there you get pretty bored.
Brown Fox Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Group of us are gonna go on a lads holiday next year..places and tips would be helpful Recommend Ayia Napa strongly. Girls are incredible, weather is incredible, clubs are incredible and no way near as expensive as people will inevitably say!

Jackirius Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 Right, looking for a 3-4 day short city break with 3 or 4 friends. We are looking for somewhere which has very good nightlife and quite a few things to do in the day (i know most big cities do, but just asking for suggestions) along with not being extortionately expensive. Anybody have any ideas or recommendations? Ta

samlcfc Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 Thought Id put this here Got back on friday from spending just under 4 weeks in Malawi and a few days in Zambia. Travelled about a bit and did a Safari in Zambia. Main reason for going was spending a week working on a project at a school. Planted alot of fruit trees and landscaped the area as best we could. Hopefully the start of a project that they'll develop over the coming years to benefit the children at the school and the wider community. Had the time of my life. Had some amazing experiences and met some great people. Definately pushed me to do more of the same. If anybody's ever thought of doing something similar I can vouch for it being an awesome idea.
Rincewind Posted 14 August 2011 Posted 14 August 2011 I need a holiday. This being unemployed lark is so tireing and time consuming. You could say I'm busy doing nothing, working the whole day through., trying to find lots of things not to do..
Jackirius Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 Prague This is where i really want to go having looked into it a bit more, have you or anyone else been before? Amsterdam, got everything I quite fancied it but my mates didn't really like the thought of it. Barcelona, unbelievable city and fantastic nightlife, particularly in the summer. Can also catch a game. Also a probability, will be looking to go end of September so could possibly catch a game.

Been Prague really good city, one of those cities you could just walk around for days and never get bored. Also has good night life and cheap. I found it easy to get around with a decent public transport city. Amsterdam is great for many reasons, yes it is famous for its drugs and prostitutes but it is actually a really pretty city and if you get the chance to get out of Amsterdam it is even better. The seedier side just take it for what it is. I was a bit unsure of it as well but i stayed in a crap hole of a place close to the city centre and loved it so much can't wait to go again. Barcelona brilliant weather and nightlife but pretty full on and crowded so do what i did if it gets to full on find a roof top bar some paela and sangria steins amazing....plus the underground nite clubs are wicked. If you want some suggestions, i think Alex and myself both mentioned Tallin and Riga. Also if you go to Berlin it is impossible to be bored there.
Wymsey Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 Madrid's got some good nightlife, along with numerous tapas bars, amongst others.

CupidStunt Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Off to Prague i think, anyone been there before? Recommend any good things in the city? brothels the horror museum ? (cant think what its called) more brothels night time down the canal area, loads of nice bars even more brothels the cuckoo clock the old castle oh, and dont try one of those sausage things they sell on the street, they are ****ing disgusting, even though they smell lovely and be-careful of the some of the taxis, get a price before you get in, otherwise they might charge you what they want, and if you argue, you will get done over. Me and me mate got lost, as the place is ****ing HUGE,and all looks the same when your bladdered, got in a taxi, went literally round the corner, and charged us £30, I argued with the driver, and he pulled a kosh out, so we paid up and if your tempted by the black prossies on the street, they are masters at nicking your dough, whilst giving the gobble (tried to nick me mates wallet, and he gave her a slap)

Cheers for the price, we usually check the prices before we get in so should be alright on that front, and will make sure i hold onto my wallet
