Just came back from Bulgaria, sunny beach. Brilliant place and had an awesome time, so much drinking...

Anyone who is interested in going, i'll be happy to answer some questions.

Hi mate, i am going there in two weeks.

Any clubs or bars to recommend?

I went in 2007 but i have heard it has changed alot since then. Is it still very cheap? Couple of Lev for a local beer?

Thanks.

Hello mate, me and my friends are thinking of going there next year for a lads holiday. What's it like for woman, bars clubs etc?

If your going 18-30's my reccomendation would be, not to pay for any bar crawls and just follow the crowd as the bar crawls prices are usually just for the clubs which u can pay for cheaper. The beer some places is like 3-4 lev but some places its like 1.50-1 lev. As for clubs, depends what music your into but i'll be honest and say I didn't go into loads of clubs, i was that ****ed from all the bars that I barely made it to any of the clubs, the bars are good, i liked amigos but tbh there all the same, its all about the crowd your with rather than the bars. Some of the bars for cocktails weren't THAT cheap but still cheap, like 2 cocktails for a fiver, so not massively cheap but cheaper than england. The food was cheap, if u go on the main strip some of the places aren't that cheap but if u branch out some of it is, but tbh most of the food taste pretty nasty there. The massive slices of pizza are still only 2-3 lev and they always do the job.

I'd say the ratio is about 50/50 but the girls are 90% fit, and that isn't even a joke. Some places have more girls than others, our hotel had LOADS of girls in for one week but then the next week it was FULL of lads, so its all the luck of the draw. I think if u go a bit early, pre july then you will find more girls, as more lads work can only book off around july, and they all swarm then. The bars and clubs were real good though. It isn't hard to shag, the only downside is there are a lot of foreign people, but i didnt mind it, but i no a lot ofr people like to be stuck round english people, but foreign people are more up for it i found, just u get lost in translation sometimes. IF you predrink (you can get a litre of vodka for like 6-7 quid) then go out and dont spend all your money you can do real well on holiday. I had 500 quid spending for 2 weeks, out of that, I spent 220 on bar crawls (like a retard too excited to think) so i had like 140 a week, but I survived fine. On the same note, my friends has like 1000 quid each and spent it in 2 weeks easily. I think its all about whether your smart with your money or not, if your drinking all day and night your money will deplet but i think thats the case anywhere but it really is a lot of cheaper than other places. I went malia last year and this completley blows it out the water if thats any mark of how good it is. I really enjoyed it and if your struggling for money this is the place to go. Only downside is if u enjoy urban music then there arent a lot here other than when u see twiceasnice clubs and bars about the rest is a lot of charts and trance/dance/house music. It took me by suprise though as i went in with low expectations but came out loving it.

There's loads of shops, cafes, restaurants etc, but expensive. It rarely rains. Be careful when going into taxis as the driver can be too persuasive, for example they'll drive you to explore additional places of tourist interest before actually going to the destination you want to be taken to - Increasing the taxi fare even more.

If you can afford it (not saying that you can't, >_< ) visit the Emirates Palace, (need to book first) surrounded by great scenery.

Just come back from Yorkshire in a holiday cottage on a private estate.. luvverly.. had a good time EXCEPT Scarborough (for the day) JEEZ.. it was like the entire Geordie scrote population had jumped in the sea and got washed up on the South Beach.

Blackpool was bad last year (again a day trip) but Scarborough has definitely taken a turn for the worse

What did you think to it?

Went there last year and probably the best lads holiday I've been on.

It was awesome. The most amazing time I've had on holiday. Stayed at Olympion Village (which, fortunately, was the best hotel in Kavos), and whilst we were there saw and met Giggs, Benga (Magnetic Man) + Young Man, Wretch 32, Dirty Sanchez (all of which stayed at our hotel, except for Giggs who came in the morning, played in the night and then left). I took so many photos and videos, and I'll never forget it!

I wasn't expecting much after reading reviews, but I swear it must just be the families that mistakenly go to Kavos that write these reviews because they were all so so wrong. The smell wasn't bad, after you got back to the hotel you couldn't hear the music from the strip. It was great :)

Before I went I had doubts after hearing and reading reviews about the place. But I'll honestly say it beats any other place I've been to for a lads holiday.

Did you also notice in the bars when they turn the music off and as soon as the police car drives by they turn it straight back on again.

Going Zante at the end of June, Cyprus for two weeks with the missus in July, then Vegas at the end of august for a stag do.

Were you staying at hotel Ikaros in zante mate? We stayed there and saw a huge LCFC flag hanging from a balcony.

If I go abroad next year I'm going to take an old Leicester shirt or a flag with me. All the bars in Altinkum had Sunderland, Sheff U, Wolves shirts and flags on the walls. Even Scunthorpe were better represented than us.

I didn't go Zante in the end mate couldn't get the time of work. But I do know there is a lot of Leicester fans working out there as my cousin is currently working there.

Just done Ibiza, in terms of clubs, Dj's and acts it isn't being topped. Different level to anywhere I've been before Zante, Kavos, Magaluf etc. Obviously with clubs between 50 and 70 euro a night entry, you pay for it.

Rome, Florence and Pisa...leave tomorrow morning... on a :o Coach trip :o

Hang on to your wallet, camera, bags, etc in Rome. Florence in lovely... enjoy. As for Pisa, I found it crashingly boring and commercialised, but maybe that was just me. :dunno:

Have a good time and, erm, enjoy the coach trip! :giggle::cool:
