Webbo Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 OS Surprised nobody has started a thread on this, if anyone has a stream for tonight's match put it in here please.
Bugg Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Is it 20.45pm local time? Assume it's 19.45pm here. yes that mean 19:45 our time.
Corky Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 The U21's have done well at the last two finals, hopefully they can go one better.
purpleronnie Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Blimey we've got a difficult group, just to get through the group would be an achievement.
Matt Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 I was going to start a thread on this the other day, but forgot. I probably will be taking an interest in this. As people might know i'm not a huge fan of international football, mainly because is disrupts club football during the season for some pointless friendly, but also because of the overated, overpaid, pre-madonnas that think they are untouchable, and all the hype surrounding us - In England's case anyway, that said during a tournament in the summer, the Euro's or a World Cup i'll be the first to jump on the bandwagon mainly just for something to do during the close season and excuse's for piss up's, although I expect nothing, and never disappointed. As for the U21's atleast they have something to prove, they are up and coming, and they have to work for it to progress further in their careers, they know their place isn't set in stone, safe, e.t.c, certainly as far a progressing to the senior team is concerned. In summary I have more hope and support for the U21's than the senior team.
BlueSi13 Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 No Carroll, Wilshere or Gibbs, we are knowhere as strong as we could be at this level. It is baffling the lack of support the U21's get from clubs, you'd have thought we were bored of winning it every year or something The clear favourites Spain have brought a strong squad so tonight will be a tough game for us, but with Germany, France, and Italy being knocked out in the qualifiers, England have a real chance of doing well again like the previous two tournaments. But as an earlier poster said, we have the toughest group so we cannot be complacent but here's hoping for a decent showing
purpleronnie Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Its sad the premier league clubs hold such power, other countries seem to see the international football as important but the PL dont seem to give a shit.

Head Honcho Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 I've backed England for this with Mexico to win the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Think I got 10/1 for the double.
BlueSi13 Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Upto Spain's goal i thought we looked the most dangerous (we should never be beaten at a corner by the Spanish) but apart from the final 5 minutes of the half our performance with the ball was pretty embarrassing stuff. Showed the Spaniards FAR too much respect, very little pressure and tempo. I've noticed that teams seem to believe that the Spanish are far superior to them before they even step foot on the pitch and therefore just simply try to contain them instead of really having a go. Spain are nothing special in my opinion, its simply pass pass pass with very little end product, i do admire their reaction to losing the ball though. England could learn a lot from that.
Bugg Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Looked like the Spain player handled the ball for me then
BlueSi13 Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Goal was handball! Think it was obstruction leading upto it too
Jimothy Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Think it was obstruction leading upto it too Didn't actually see the goal, turned on after so was looking for a replay and found that instead.

sdb Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Henderson has not looked like a £20,000,000 player, to put it lightly.
Bert Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Can Danny Sturridge do anything other than shoot? And quite poorly at that.
Webbo Posted 12 June 2011 Author Posted 12 June 2011 A draw was the least we deserved, thought our goal looked offside but if theirs was hand ball that evens things up.
