SOCCERROO FOX Posted 13 June 2011 Posted 13 June 2011 Star Witness should go well in the King Stand (Aussies have a great record in the race) Hinchingbrook if you can get good enough value in the Golden Jubilee, i got 16/1 a fortnight ago you will be wanting at least 12/1 but is a good horse and always runs well in big races over here.
goose2010 Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 couple of tips for ascot this week if any one is interested. Coventry Stakes - Mezmaar (around 5/1) Royal Hunt Cup - Super Say (around 16/1) Society Rock - (around 25/1) All good EACH WAY shouts
Filthy Fox Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 i just put on 16/1 e/w dubawi gold 8/1 e/w kingsgate native obviously Frankel is going to win his race but is it really worth 2/7 ....
Matt Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 Had 1 bet today, had 1 win! That the way I like it, unlike the starts I had with Cheltenham and Aintree! Had a £10 Canford Cliffs/Frankel double returning £35. I was going to put £50 on Frankel as well but thought that was just being greedy and not worth the slight risk of losing £50 for the sake of winning £20, no matter how much of a dead cert it was, I just decided to leave it at my £10 double and be happy with the £35 returns

Betting big next time Star Witness runs. His jockey today didn't lift a finger on him.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 Betting big next time Star Witness runs. His jockey today didn't lift a finger on him. Star Witness seemed to struggle for the first 300-400m which is a bit rare normally really good out of the barriers and likes to get up near the early lead and sit on the pace. Stevie Arnold rode him not the best jockey we have but a decent enough rider of top weights, he was using the whip with 400m to go but we have whip rules over hear when you can only use the whip so many times in the last 200m. He also isn't noted for being a great hands and heal rider. He may back up but i reckon Hinchingbrook is better value.
purpleronnie Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 Good day £139 up, my dad had a better day £369 up.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 Shajjaa 305 get on. Is this as good as yesterdays tip ;-) Shouldn't you be incorporating a NAP/Pt system as well these days!
Bert Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 Is this as good as yesterdays tip ;-) Shouldn't you be incorporating a NAP/Pt system as well these days! Ha, sadly it wasn't. Thought this was more of a cert than most. My nap of the week, so to speak runs tomorrow

My nap of the week, so to speak runs tomorrow Any chance your Nap's going to be a 100-1 outsider that then romps home? Having a brief look at tomorrows races, I'd guess your Nap will be in the 5 - either Marsmanship or Moriarty?

Matt Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 Had two double's today, both including So You Think, After Frankel yesterday thought that was definetly going to win, so I thought.... Had Sajjhaa/So You Think (Placed the bet before Bert tipped it) and So You Think/Shumoos. So You Think and Shumoos both placed, but with such short odds and I had confidence in them, it was worth back E/W, so won nothing today, Shame. Think I was being too greedy towards So You Think putting it in both of my bets, that said the other selections in those double didn't win either so wouldn't have won my bets regardless.

Tropical Beat and and Captain Bertie in the 1625 race appeal to me, one for obvious reasons and both each way. Willl have a good look tonight and post up what I think will win and one that'll place in each race.
Bert Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 2:30 - Everyday Dave - WIN Ballesteros e/w. 3.:05 Dorcas Lane - Win Make My Heart Sing - E/W 3:45 Fame and Glory - Win Geordieland - e/w 4:25 Chain Lightning - Win Captain Bertie Tropical Beat - Both e/w. 5:00 - Tazahuum - Win Moriarty - e/w 5:35 Apache - Win Eternal Heart - e/w. Not tips as such, just what I'd be backing.
