dorsetfox Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 i know its exciting with all the comings and speculation of whos coming. i myself think after this week we will start to see a few people going if we are looking for 2 or 3 strikers will waggy, howard and vaseline be on their way now we have danns if sven plays a 4-4-2 can him and wellens both play in the same team then theres abi thats 3 defensive midfielders will one go ? have we seen the last of weale and dyer is hobbs going to move or will sven pursuade him to stay ?

(Or female maybe, if that floats your boat)
StarFox Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 I think Steve Howard will go. Probably to Sheffield Wednesday or maybe even Hull. I would like to think Waggy will stay but I think the Jury is still out on that one. I hope Sven will give him a chance. I'm not worried at all for Wellens or Abe. Both are quality midfielders who will both play a good share of games. Dyer and Vassel will also get their turn but perhaps more likely as subs. I also think Hobbs will be leaving as soon as Sven finds a suitable replacement.
Jon the Hat Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 I couldn't give a toss, no one worth keeping will go.

The Doctor Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Why would waghorn, vassell and howard be on their way if we signed a couple of strikers? We've only got those 3 & Gally up front at the moment. You need competition in the squad over the course of a season. If we get 3 in i'd expect howard would be on his way and possibly waggy on loan but, paticularly if we're going to play 4-3-3 again next season you need at least 5 senior strikers to rotate for fitness sake and to cover any possible injury crisis. I can't see that sven would drop king so danns - wellens partnership in a 4-4-2 is fairly unlikely. If we've seen the last of weale i'd be ****ing estatic, dyer and hobbs i'd not be delighted by but not something i'd be too disappointed by.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Was gonna start this thread. We have to get rid of a few if were pulling in the players we're linked with. I think Dyer, Howard, Neilson, Hobbs, Moreno will all go, possibly Waghorn (Although I still believe he can be a good player for us).
The Doctor Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 and don't forget the shake it all abouts we've got some turning around to do as well.
Danno Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Since when did we sign a male masturbation aid? (Or female maybe, if that floats your boat) genuinly made me
rico Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 we've got some turning around to do as well. that's what its all about
accessory Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Still got Moussa, N'Guessan and Kermorgant on the books as (theoretical) strike options, plus Schlupp from the youth team. Moussa could be decent backup, but Schlupp will probably go to a League 1-2 club on loan again. Not fussed what happens to the other two - they weren't among Pearson's better signings.
themotivator Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 would be upset to see DEEVEE go. not too bothered about most of the other "at risk" players, although not sure darius is particularly at risk.
accessory Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 DV's strike rate is fairly modest - no better than that of Howard or Waghorn. But he's a Sven favourite so he'll be protected from any cull.

Isnt moussa more of a midfielder than a striker?
ajthefox Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Look at our squad from the back end of last season, look at how many were on loan and then see how they featured in our starting 11 throughout the season. If you think it's feasible for us to replace all of the loanees and then some of the squad players too you are mistaken imo. A few will go, but there will be players on the fringe last season such as say Waggy, Vassel, Moussa and Dyer who will be vital in terms of providing strength in depth next season alongside new signings such as Danns and other possibles mentioned like CMS, Maynard and Nugent.

FantasticMrFuchs Posted 28 June 2011 Posted 28 June 2011 Weale, Chris - Goalkeeper - Doesn't want to be a number 2 so I expect him to leave Neilson, Robbie Defender - Gone Tunchev, Aleksander Defender - I can't see him staying fit and playing a full season, Gone by xmas Gallagher, Paul Striker - Safe Oakley, Matt Midfielder - Great person off-field and signed extension on contract/ His wines not bad Howard, Steve Striker - Blackpool bound? Either way he's off King, Andy Midfielder - Safe Dyer, Lloyd Midfielder - Gone, back up for the first team now Logan, Conrad Goalkeeper - Longest serving Leicester player I expect to stay and be number 2 if Weale leaves Waghorn, Martyn Striker - Wants to prove himself under Sven, But Derby are keen sign to sign him and Sven wants new strikers Berner, Bruno Defender - There's only room for one Bruno in this city so I expect him to leave N'Guessan, Dany Midfielder - Southampton bound? They loved him down there last season and isn't a first team regular Wellens, Richard Midfielder - Safe Abe, Yuki Midfielder - Safe, another season adjusting playing a rotation role Moussa, Franck Midfielder - Safe, Signed a contract extension last season. If he goes anywhere it will be on loan Hobbs, Jack Defender - Gone, never to play for Leicester again. Schlupp, Jeffrey Striker - A good pre-season will do wonders and hopefully see him coming off the bench regularly. It's either him or Waggy for me. Crncic, Leon Striker - Whoooooooooooooo? Exactly I expect him to go on a season long loan to some Norwegian 2nd Division club. Bamba, Souleymane Defender - Safe Vassell, Darius Striker - Safe Kermit the Frog is still under contract and needs a new home, as is Danny Uchechi who I doubt we will see other than pre-season

Whether or not he made the grade I don't know, but certainly didn't play any games for us, so I'd be surprised to see him anywhere but at our club.
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 28 June 2011 Posted 28 June 2011 According to his Wiki page he's training with Aberdeen "Uchechi will be starting the 2011/2012 pre-season training with Aberdeen FC. Nigerian team mate Sone Aluko is still currently an Aberdeen player." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Uchechi Seems as though he's not in Sven's plans as was handed a trial on 10th June.
cc_star Posted 28 June 2011 Posted 28 June 2011 Vassell, I think has a job for life with Sven Sven recently signed Howard up to a new contract and has expressed a desire to keep Waggy - However I think he'll let Waggy go if someone ponies up the money and we have Schlupp to step in to keep Waggy's place on the bench warm If Weale goes I don't think Logan's good enough so IMO we'll need to sign a back-up keeper to push Kasper for his place so I'd sell Logan too and have Adam Smith step-up to be #3 who Sven recently awarded a 3 year contract to I expect Hobbs to go, but (I don't know anything about him) but George Taft who plays for England U-19's, Sven gave a contract to, whilst I don't think he'll figure in the 1st team with the volume of players we're signing, being linked to he could well be in the matchday squad a few times and he think he plays LCB, our problem position. Oakley will stay, Sven gave him a new contract and he personally did well in the run-in Berner could well go, meaning we won't have cover for Masilela, of course we could use Mee as LB cover should we sign him, but that would probably mean upsetting the CB pairing which I'm not in favour of If Neilson goes we'll need a RB cover for Peltier
