Craziest fight I've ever seen. Itauma beats shit out of a breeze block for a rounds. Then he fires back when he sniffs a bit of weakness

 

 

Fair play Hrgovic, delighted for the guy!

 

Perfect for moses as well. Such a good learning fight at 22. I doubt he will meat a more durable guy at this weight.

 

Dream scenario is these w meet back in 2 years for a unification

Because the division isn't exactly amazing. Hrgovic moves like eight blocks of concrete held together by rusty rebar that hasn't moved since the apocalypse.

Spot on, Hrgovic said it himself after coming back in after the 1st round he saw Itauma boxing like an amateur going for the big hit and win within 2-3rds, he was blowing after that 1st round, all he had to do was weather the storm and he knew he had him.

The Step up involves the brain and a sound game plan not just it worked before so I’ll just keep doing it.

This is why I was saying last night that Hrgovic didn’t win it, Itauma lost it. He literally punched himself out. Hrgovic didn’t beat him , up, he didn’t get in a bunch of body shots, he literally stood there and watched as Moses wilted before his eyes.

 

i wouldn’t even say it was a step too far for Moses… possibly a bit of inexperience, but  I also see it as him being very badly let down by his team. He was blowing after 3 rounds and gassed after 5. How can you train/ prepare your boxer for a world championship fight like that? Shambolic.

that punch near the end in the 9th didn’t even land. He literally stood there and watched him . He certainly didn’t land a punch that stopped the fight and he didn’t hurt him throughout the fight. 
 

to me it’s the equivalent of a team being outplayed all game and then winning via an own goal. Sure, if you want to be technical they won. , you could even say they defended well.

 

but we all know it was Moses’ own frailties that lost the fight.

Not read what I've written properly have you. I will repeat, you try taking punches off Moses Itauma for 7 rounds and staying on your feet. 

 

If someone want's to punch at a six round pace with you in a 12 round fight there isn't a lot you can do about it rather than weather the storm and pick the bits up when they fall apart. Which he did and he was catching him 6-9 which will have added tot he fatigue, Needs to take massive credit for doing so.

I think it's just been a weird generation. We've had some brilliant boxers and some brilliant fights at the very top, from getting Wlad against AJ and Fury on his way out right up to the recent Usyk fights. 

 

And other than AJ and Fury dodging each other I feel like we've gotten most of the heavyweight fights we needed? 

 

But there's a huge gap between the very top and the rest of the field. 

 

Guys like Hrgovic and Zhang are just walking granite chins with legs. They're not so much boxers as just double hard blokes that can take a massive clobbering and that's impressive n'all but it's not exciting.
