Haven't really seen anything mentioned anywhere. 6 years ago today, 52 people lost their lives in a terrorist attack in London and approximately 700 injured. Just wanted to pay respects to them. R.I.P. to all those lost.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 7 July 2011 Posted 7 July 2011 I was on a Year 8 trip to Wells in Norfolk at the time of the bombings. For some reason we never had the radio on in the coach on the way or way back and it was before all these internet phones, etc, so we didnt even know until we arrived home at about 9pm. Very strange really, going a whole day almost without knowing about a major tragedy which had happened in our own country.

I'm not really suggesting that anyone should be totally convinced by his conclusions , but doesn't it ring any bells with the 911 atacks and "vigilant guardian" etc terror drills that supposedly threw NORAD into utter confusion ? In both attacks government agencies were carrying out a "terror drill " of the exact same scenario of what was actually happening, at the exact same !! What are the odds of terrorists randomly choosing the exact dates, times, locations where terror drills were ongoing in both attacks Surely there is reason at least to suggest that the bombers were either duped as patsies or possibly had inside information. POWER: At half past nine this morning we were actually running an exercise for a company of over a thousand people in London based on simultaneous bombs going off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this morning, so I still have the hairs on the back of my neck standing up right now. HOST: To get this quite straight, you were running an exercise to see how you would cope with this and it happened while you were running the exercise? POWER: Precisely, and it was about half past nine this morning, we planned this for a company and for obvious reasons I don't want to reveal their name but they're listening and they'll know it. And we had a room full of crisis managers for the first time they'd met and so within five minutes we made a pretty rapid decision that this is the real one and so we went through the correct drills of activating crisis management procedures to jump from slow time to quick time thinking and so on. doesn't this all sound very familiar ? sorry, but too many "remarkable coincidences" make me very uneasy .

She was aware of what had happened but thought we should still come out to repair her chipped windscreen, despite London being gridlocked. Also complained we didn't call her even though it was explained we only had a mobile and the networks were down. They were a shit company but for once nothing they could do - some peoples lack of perspective is phenomenal.

I was going to ask you about whether or not this incident was covered in the book , and how he dealt with it . But all I was meaning to imply , is that it puts his honesty and integrity into question , nothing more no offence intended.

Of course I care that people died unnecessarily, and of course I send my best wishes to their families, but I don't view posting a reply on a Leicester City based forum as an important part of that process.
