Bezzanator89 Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 Misconception on my part...we do need another right back, let's have him then!
escos Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 Here we are again with the fourth official Twitter source, is this actually reliable? From what I hear, this source is a bit hit and miss. Put it like this, last night he posted a pic of Shay Given holding a Villa shirt 30 mins before SSN announced he had signed.
Toffee_Fox Posted 19 July 2011 Author Posted 19 July 2011 the only thing that makes me a bit dubious is they are the only people calling it? nothing from tanner/stringer or the nationals.
leicesterisme Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 the only thing that makes me a bit dubious is they are the only people calling it? nothing from tanner/stringer or the nationals. Transfers can be made without journalists being involved you know, besides them two most of the time tell us news we already knew thanks to the likes of Bert and twitter sources such as Fourt Official.
Toffee_Fox Posted 19 July 2011 Author Posted 19 July 2011 Just didn't think Stringer would pass up the chance to get his "exclusive" if it was a done deal.
Bezzanator89 Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 Sure there was something that put me off trusting Fourth Official, had them down as a speculation source.... But hey, whatever convinces us that more transfers are on the way.
paddy Agyemang Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 Paintsil is a good right back I rate him and if he comes here he will be very good
Charl91 Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 I remember Villa vs. Fulham, 1 - 0 and Liverpool vs. Fulham 1 - 0, both own goals from Pantsil. Think if he did that to us, our fans would never forgive him.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 Put it like this, last night he posted a pic of Shay Given holding a Villa shirt 30 mins before SSN announced he had signed. Hmmmm - that was reported by the beeb in the morning mind. And you sure SSN didn't run exactly the same news story an hour earlier, meaning he posted 30 minutes after? Not the most convincing of arguments is it really!
Toffee_Fox Posted 19 July 2011 Author Posted 19 July 2011 He deffo posted Given had signed a 5 year deal (which no-one believed, 5 years!!!!) an hour before SSN put it as "breaking news"
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 He deffo posted Given had signed a 5 year deal (which no-one believed, 5 years!!!!) an hour before SSN put it as "breaking news" other words RELIABLE
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 I remember Villa vs. Fulham, 1 - 0 and Liverpool vs. Fulham 1 - 0, both own goals from Pantsil. Think if he did that to us, our fans would never forgive him. Frank Sinclair was an expert at OG and he was still well liked.

And you sure SSN didn't run exactly the same news story an hour earlier, meaning he posted 30 minutes after? Not the most convincing of arguments is it really! Yes it is. SSN were banging on about how he was expected to sign, in the mean time fourth official had already posted a pic of him holding a Villa shirt. He posted it before the Villa OS. You don't get hold of pics like that unless you have contacts.
Toffee_Fox Posted 19 July 2011 Author Posted 19 July 2011 He tweeted pics today of inside Everton's training ground. Fourth_Official Fourth Official Told there could be some Rangers news tomorrow, not from the usual place and I'm not certain what on, take it as you will #RFC 16 hours ago Fourth_Official Fourth Official Rangers announce Steven Davis has signed his new 5 year deal, so there WAS Rangers news today like said! #RFC 1 hour ago -- Is reliable just don't have a clue what he could be, as it's not like regional news it's right across the country involving a few clubs.
sdb Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 I remember Villa vs. Fulham, 1 - 0 and Liverpool vs. Fulham 1 - 0, both own goals from Pantsil. Think if he did that to us, our fans would never forgive him. Pretty sure he doesn't go out with the intention to score own goals. Plus, if he helps us towards playing against the likes of Liverpool and Villa, I don't think people will be too harsh.

Bezzanator89 Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 We had Frank Sinclair, king of own goal scorers. I think we'll get by don't you?

While 3 OG in one season isn't great, I do still think he'd do a good job for us, after all he is prem quality. I'm just worries that some fans (such as the "WEEUL" crowd) would be on his back, if it ended up costing us a few games. We had Frank Sinclair, king of own goal scorers. I think we'll get by don't you? Fair point Irrelevant. Thanks for your useful contribution and constructive criticism.....
STUHILL Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 I guess this one is needed as we don't have any real cover at RB. I just can't see either being happy not starting.
dpjfox Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 unless sven sees peltier as possible replacement as midfield cover (replacing Oakley)
Bert Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 I don't understand why people are saying we don't have rb cover, when we do. Sean St Ledger.
wellyfox Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 I remember Villa vs. Fulham, 1 - 0 and Liverpool vs. Fulham 1 - 0, both own goals from Pantsil. Think if he did that to us, our fans would never forgive him. But what is an own goal a deflected shot now if you change the flight of the ball is classed an an own goal. Did he head them or shoot past his own keeper or where they deflected shots. Not seen them so just asking.
Stevosevic Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 I don't understand why people are saying we don't have rb cover, when we do. Sean St Ledger. My thoughts exactly.
