ScoutMan Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 "Leicester, from what I know of English football, with this manager, this team and this structure I believe they will be in the Premiership very, very soon," Dont know whether this has been mentioned yet on FT... "From my experience in the Premiership, I can find many teams from this level and I cannot say this Leicester team is worse than a few teams I faced in the Premiership. I wish them well. The manager is a friend and I always had a good relationship with him. "I wish Leicester City all the best and hope they achieve their objective and go very soon to the Premiership." "It was a good training session for us and I believe for them also," "We have two different cultures of playing, different potential as well. "But it is a completely different way of playing, culture and philosophy. "For us, we started playing against American and Mexican teams, then Germany and now to face this style was good. "I felt sorry they scored in the last minute. "I would have preferred they scored the goal 10 or 15 minutes before because what they gave us after they scored I would have preferred to see that for more time."
Austin Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 He's just being polite imo Agreed. Still nice though
21st Century Fox Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 He's just being polite imo Not a character trait often linked with Jose but I agree. I believe the bit about being in the Premiership soon but the rest does seem rather politely put.
Nick Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 He's just being polite imo Nonsense he's put in a bid for Steve Howard.
clare Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 :: They don't call him the Special One for nowt you know!
Finnegan Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Nonsense he's put in a bid for Steve Howard. Aye. They want him hanging about the Bernabeau to motivate their youngsters. "Work hard, kids, or else gaze upon what awaits you."
Ricey Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 He called us Li-Chester for the whole interview which cancelled out his kind words.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Always liked the bloke. Like him even more now
MPH Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 He's just being polite imo He has NEVER been polite for the sake of it... he has always been honest. Could it not be that he actually meant what he said?
Zingari Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Basically he may be saying that we are possibly as good as the teams who got relegated from the Prem (i.e championship teams)
ajthefox Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 He has NEVER been polite for the sake of it... he has always been honest. Could it not be that he actually meant what he said? And you know that how...?
John Matrix Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 were as good as the worst teams in the prem from the years when he was managing in the Prem, we play shit football and we only started playing half decent when we scored.
Walshie is God Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 It doen't really matter what jose mourinho thinks or any other manager to be honest! What Leicester City need to do is go out at 12:30 on Saturday and put in a performance worthy of championship title favourites. I cant wait for all the hype and build up to stop and get the first game under our belts. However I fear there is a high chance that the pressure will get to everyone and the game will end in a predictable 1-1 draw. Hope I'm wrong mind you! Just dont see us being able to put teams away 2 or 3 nil, having watched the bursaspor, valencia and madrid games (quality opposition granted) I dont see where the goals are coming from! The wide men stay wide and nothing comes from midfield, especially when Kingy is sat on the bench!
Lambert09 Posted 2 August 2011 Posted 2 August 2011 Got to agree with that. I'm just happy we play Cov first not west ham or anyone else decent
