EmLeee Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 first game 1998 - Chelsea won 2 - 0 those were the days ...
Guest Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 First game was New Year's Day 1991, last home game I missed was sometime early 1993, been a season ticket holder since 1994, and haven't missed an away game since 1995 (not including THAT Millwall game )!!
computingelite Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 First game was against Bristol Rovers at Filbo (2-2) Been to every home premiership game and every final since Swindon at Wembley, and all semi-finals home and away. Also been to a handful of away games.
Thracian Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 Around the end of the 1950's c1958. First tripped along with my late grandfather, always visiting the Blackpad en route to gawp at the steam engines (what a bloody abnorak!!!). Still faintly remember the legendary goalscorer Arthur Rowley and wonder winger Derek Hogg plus people like Derek Hines and Jimmy Walsh before the wonder team of the early 60's.
Shum Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 First game was 1992 v Swindon Town, we won 4-2 and Walsh scored twice!
Durnerz Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 Since 1995 that was a reserve game League in 1996 Season ticket from 2001
Matt Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 Reserve games since about 93, then about 94/95 was my first league game i'm not sure who we we're playing, what the score was, e.t.c...I have a feeling it was Ipswich!
Anish Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 First game was the live televised match (on ITV, with Jimmy Greaves) at Filbo between Leicester and Forest in October 1993 - we won 1-0 with Speedie getting the winner.
SwindonFox Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 Now I'm feeling old. First game - the week after the '69 cup final. Ally Brown scored two (on his debut?) against Sunderland. Then we went down.
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 1997 Coca Cola Cup Final, Boro vs. City. My dad took me to that game, was my first football game and I've been a City fan ever since. For him though it would be the 1950's, he was taken to a game where he had to sit on the roof of the stand to watch City play by his dad. It's in the family.
Sparky Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 my 1st was vs luton home 86/87 1st day off the season . alan smith got our goal in a 1-1 draw
stez Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 1984, we lost to everton don;t remember the score but i remember i was 11....
Ultra Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 Sunderland away 1970-71 Freezing cold, 0-0 draw but I was still hooked! B)
Cobbo Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 At home to Tranmere in 92, Roooooster scored a last minute goal in a 1-0 win B)
Soho_Fox Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 8th October 1966. Forest at home. Won 3-0. 40,000 packed in there. I was done for ever since. Bloke next to me turns and says "Eyup lad this could be our year". We went 4th in the top division that day. I think he meant we could win the league. It wasn't and it hasn't ever been since. Still been brilliant though.
Katy Posted 16 June 2005 Posted 16 June 2005 Since the 1984/85 season so the 22nd season???? Im not that old mind!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 June 2005 Posted 17 June 2005 1989 and I was 5. Can't believe all these late starters, what were you doing for the first eight years of your lives???
Guest Posted 17 June 2005 Posted 17 June 2005 Can't believe all these late starters, what were you doing for the first eight years of your lives??? 124155[/snapback] My mother thought being a football fan was a phase I'd grow out of. Plus, as I grew up during the late 70's and the 80's, it wasn't a great time for football, and mother didn't want her precious offspring getting caught up in all the violence. I did, at one stage, get her to sit down to watch a game to prove that there was no trouble at football games; unfortunately it was the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Forest at Hillsborough.
Filbert_Ross Posted 17 June 2005 Posted 17 June 2005 late 80's for me, my mum used to work saturdays so my dad had no choice but to take me with him, ive had a season ticket since 91.
