blueredswed Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 sven is joint favourite with nigel pearson to be the first championship managerial casualty at 10 - 1 with paddy power Come on! SVEN WILL LIVE FOREVER
John Matrix Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 surprised nigel is up there think he will do well this season well he's lost one more game than everybody else now
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 I guess Pearson has the edge on him right now ;-)
cc_star Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 Of course Sven is fave, spending over twice as much as anyone else guarantees that, if he's not in the shake-up after qtr of the season, 10 games or so the pressure will be untenable I'd have thought. He knows that better than anyone, he looks to have bought wisely (still need a forward or two IMO) so its down to the coaching & blending he does & whether he keeps a happy confident camp who copes with the knocks far better than last year.

I can only agree whith you! And I think after tomorrow we will knew more if Leicester is in the class that I think they are!
Merging Cultures Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 I think he'd be most likely to walk rather than be sacked. I hope neither obviously.

I couldn't agree more. I just hope the owners realise that this squad might take a little while to get going. There's pretty much a whole new starting XI who, even if they do gel instantly, will work together better as the season progresses. There's also a few unfit players. While the squad's size means we won't need to throw them into the mix before they're ready, we won't see the best out of them until they've played a few matches and got back into the swing of things. I'm thinking mainly about Johnson. I think he could be our best player if/when he reaches full fitness, but this will take some time. I wouldn't be surprised if the squad we have performs very well this season, but it also wouldn't shock me if we got off to a bit of a slow start. I'm fairly sure we'll start to see a very good Leicester side in a month or two.
gazfox9 Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 What a weird scenario, bookies favourites for promotion, whilst our manager is bookies favourite to be first to get the chop! ha ha.
FuriousFox46 Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 sven is joint favourite with nigel pearson to be the first championship managerial casualty at 10 - 1 with paddy power Andy Thorn is 11/2
ozleicester Posted 5 August 2011 Posted 5 August 2011 I doubt that Sven would walk, he has said numerous times he is here to succeed and even if losing wouldnt see him as the type to give up.
Daggers Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 How many times does it have to be pointed out that bookies odds are based on punters bets and not what the company 'thinks' is going to happen?
I am Rod Hull Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 How many times does it have to be pointed out that bookies odds are based on punters bets and not what the company 'thinks' is going to happen? Thats why England are always 4th/5th favorites for the world cup... Idiot bets...

Fox92 Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 With all this money, and all these signings and predictions come expectations. It was obvious Sven would be up there due to the expectations, but he is an expirienced manager, he'll know how to handle it.
