lcfc_amie Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Anyone know apron how many were taking tonight? And if u can pay on the gate or not? Went down to the ticket office to get tickets yesterday, and was told to pay on the gate. Apparently we've sold about 1000, but the away end can hold about 5000 so there should be loads available

bluesbrothers Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 2-1 Leicester. Howard and Schlupp. Their goal will be a Le Fondre thunderbolt. Then we snap him up for a million plus add-ons later in the week.
Heskey2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Hopefully the likes of Waghorn will get a game, and players like Schlupp and Johnson. Yeah you can pay at the gate and it's a tenner for adults, Can. not. wait.
Guest Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Got a place on the coach , so if you see an incredibly good looking guy getting on it's probably not me.
gloucesterfox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 International clearence held up confirmation of his move, I don't know if he's had much of a pre-season He is also in the Ghana squad to play Nigeria at Watford tonight.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Weale Oakley - Moreno - Ball - BernerMoussa - Johnson GallyDyer - Howard - Waghorn
kimmy619 Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 I'm looking forward to the match.... football takes me to some lovely places
drc Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Weale Oakley - Moreno - Ball - BernerMoussa - Johnson GallyDyer - Howard - Waghorn Moreno isn't gonna figure in our season. I think Mills will captain the team today. I'm not sure if Moussa will either but I hope we keep him(maybe loan him out). If Moussa isn't in our first team plan then get Fernandes even more match-fit (he said himself he wasn't 100 % yet). It would be stupid to not try to give Johnson a good run out today. Let Waghorn Schlupp, Dyer and Howard show if they want to fight for a place on the bench on saturday. (Even if one of them probably have to start on the bench today).
Corky Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 I hope we put out a strong side and performance, winning early in the season would give more confidence to the squad.
Vlad The Impaler Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 GK. Schmeichel RB. Oakley CB. Mills CB. Ball LB. Berner RM. Gallagher CM. Johnson CM. Wellens LM. Dyer ST. Howard ST. Waghorn Alternatively, you could swap Gallagher and Dyer around.
Wymsey Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 I want Weale to be given another chance, along with Waghorn.
The Doctor Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 I want Weale to be given another chance, along with Waghorn. I'd rather he be encased in concrete and thrown into the soar. Don't see the point in shuffling the defence about too much, some-one into replace Peltier and that will do, they need playing time to gel and avoid a repeat of last year. In midfield rest a couple - perhaps give Moussa a chance and see what Johnson's fitness is like. Up front give Schlupp and possibly Kermorgant a chance to prove their worth to the team this season.
1991FOX Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 ghana game called off. Was supposed to be played at vicarage road. Bit late notice but maybe pantsil could play?
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 I want Weale to be given another chance, along with Waghorn. Why do you want to give Weale another chance? He's not gonna play over KS.... If Sven wants to rest KS then fine, play Weale...if he doesn't then whats the point?

I thought Kermorgamt had not been issued with a squad number this season, which in my eyes he is not in svens plans
Thracian Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Yes, there's a good case for Schlupp because he's young, he's succeeded in the prep and may well be ready to start making an impact at senior level. But what earthly point would there be in giving Kergomant yet another chance? Are you his agent or something? Three measly goals in 26 games for the celebrated Arles-Avignon is his latest form. Before that it was 13 goals in 66 games for Stade Rhiems making a not-so-grand total of 16 goals in the last four seasons from 92 matches. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yann_Kermorgant Kergomant is not bursting through, he's 29 years old. In just one season Arthur Rowley wasn't so far off matching Kermogant's 58 goals for his entire mostly forgetable eight-season career. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Rowley. It's a striker we want. Gallagher's fine as our novelty penalty taker! Up front give Schlupp and possibly Kermorgant a chance to prove their worth to the team this season.
Fox92 Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 I want Weale to be given another chance, along with Waghorn. Weale may feature, but nothing more. He isn't going to be given a chance when we have another goalkeeper who is better than him, and, Waghorn isn't good enough either. He has no control in his shots. Some people (not pointing fingers) seem to think he is the answer to everything. They both may feature tonight, however, I don't see the point in changing the defence about just yet because we want a solid defence that knows each others game etc, so cementing them together (even in a cup game) would be a better idea in my opinion than changing them about, at the minute. However, a few months down the line this could change once everyone has settled. Obviously Peltier won't be playing though.

Gallagher's fine as our novelty penalty taker! Yet another chance? He's been given 1 chance in which he show some promise at this level. He won't get 20 odd a season but going on what we saw from him 2 years ago, I'd say it would be fair to suggest a return in the double figures if he were to get a run in the team and with our other options & a stronger defence than last season 10-12 would be good enough from an extra striker.
Bob Farley Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Its going to be interesting seeing who is played out tonight anyway.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Hope he gives jeff schlupp a chance tonight... But it's a game I'd like to see us win so I'm looking for a good side put out
Southern Fox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 As Nigeria v Ghana is off tonight, cant John Pantsil play or does it not work like that?
orod Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Weale Oakley mills ball Berner Schlupp Johnson Gallagher Dyer howard waghorn
orod Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 He's defo not going. He doesn't want to leave, we don't want him to leave, we don't need the money so I think it's highly unlikely. Besides, if a player was going to leave, then the last thing we'd want to do from a business point of view is cup tie him! Earth, you?
