Collymore Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Indeed. Do our new owners employ someone to read the boards? Everything we've ever wanted is coming true. PS: I do know club officials read this board, before anyone says anything. A bit unrelated but does anyone remember that interview with a player at his house (it might have been wesolowski) where he had foxestalk casually on in the background! This post reminded me of that.
mancunianfox Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Can't wait to get one of these. Also has anyone seen that 1984 tracksuit top with the running fox logo on it? They are nice too.
IOWFOX Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 They better get these online before they sell out again. Up online now mate, just bought mine to pick up on saturday.
ScouseFox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Cheers for the heads up, just need some money now then.
Alexikokopops Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Just got my sister to get me one for my birthday I've gambled on a small.
Jimbo Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Not really - I'm 5'11 and have sadly put on 175 lbs over the past 30 years. The blue M fits me like a glove. Couldn't you get one that fits like a shirt? Went down and got mine a couple of days ago, they had a few in stock
kimmy619 Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 My b/f wanted this all last season and despite being on the website, it was never in the store! He purchased one on Tuesday and is now a very happy boy
MC Prussian Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Can someone who has both the blue and the green retro shirt confirm that there are no differences in sizes?
Earlydoorsjones Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 I'm shit hot at football I can play right back
Craig Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Any pics? Since the online store seems incapable...
Earlydoorsjones Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Gotta get one now..I all the retro shirts I went down today with £30 burning a hole all the way and... I was gutted! They are average to shit quality replicas! They have the old 80's badge perfect - tick. They have the colours right (a small matter but check out other retro shirt manufactures with a shirt bought at the time and you will see what I mean) - tick. They have the white double striped pattern right - tick. (Now, I only looked at medium and large shirts) The material itself... Far too thick and way thicker than the original - you would sweat your brownies off on a winters day in one of these retro shirts The cloth has so many imperfections like little bleached spots or faded patches. The sponsor ind coope was peeling off several of them. Many shirts were dirty. The neck line was machined sewed dodgy on the large so that the fabric crumpled a the v point (which wont wash or cool iron out). There were sewing machine lines on the arms/back/front of many (this is where a seamstress has let the sewing machine run away with itself - some had several inches of green cotton still in them at places that were there were no joins). My grandmother worked in Leicester based garment factories all her life and some things just stick with you - I can anticipate the old girl shifting in her grave at the thought of passing 30 notes over for what you can buy better from the lucky lucky men in Spain and Italy for £5 on holiday, and you get a name and number printed on the back of those (all be it Inesta or Messi) I know replica shirts are not the real things but these are just tat. The 1984 home and away shirts on sale 18 months ago were much better. If you were one of the lucky few that bought your 84 shirts a few days ago, you had the luxury of selecting the best ones off the shelf. There are still a few small and xl that looked buyable but medium and large were not worth £30.
wellyfox Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Well for me you can stick the green n gold up ur arse . I think I did evry away game we wore em in. N you think anyone who did that would buy one. They one sick puppy if they do IMO :scarf: :scarf:
themotivator Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 I keep checking this thread just to see if anyone posts a picture of themselves modelling the shirt.Yes I am worried by my curiosity.
Gforce19 Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 I am with Wellyfox on this one. I remember every man and his dog buying this shirt that season untill City couldn't win away wearing it and at the end of the season we blamed out piss poor performances on the shirt.Even Gaz Links couldn't score in it refusing to wear it ever again near the end of the season. Bottom line is anyone able to remember that shirt hates it as it reminds them of travelling up and down the country watching city lose every time. In fact the first question we used to ask on arriving at the away end was what shirt are we wearing and then when we ran out in green you knew it was gonna be another loss. Take the 84 shirt and £$%& it.
goose2010 Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Can someone who has both the blue and the green retro shirt confirm that there are no differences in sizes? i got the misses to get me a green one yesterday, tried it on yesterday and it was WAY to small. I have the blue one as well which fits perfectly and both XL They are compleatly different sizes. To me it looks like a XL label has been put in a small shirt. I am quite big but going from the green xl i think i would need about a XXXXL for it to fit!! I am going to take it back on saturday and compare it to another XL and change it, but what i am trying to say is check thing bloody fits before leaving the shop!
MC Prussian Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 Tried to find this in the Megastore - sold out again?? It's listed on LCFC Direct, though.
