Simi Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 I'm not ashamed to admit I celebrated when Spurs scored. Pure comedy. I gave it a little bit as well, I don't hate Arsenal just quite like Spurs. Was happy for their fans, shame the end was half empty!
Jack Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 1-0 down to Stoke. It just get's better and better for Arsenal
Jack Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 I bet Arsene is livid tonight, their defence seems to be a shambles at the minute, they really should me taking all 3 points against teams like Stoke and Van Persie getting sent off will not go down too well either.
lildave3 Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008   :laugh:Played. I actually cheered when you told me. Cheered me up no end.
Matt Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 :crylaugh: Love it. And I have actually seen people who wear Arsenal shirts and watch Arsenal games on TV (They call themselves fans but you can use that term loosely) wanting Wenger Out... (I'm Wenger's biggest fan, Infact i'm not a fan of him at all but please are they having a laugh?)
dandannieldanok Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 I quite like Arsenal... I like them better than Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool but I'll admit to laughing at today's result.
Uncle Albert Posted 3 November 2008 Posted 3 November 2008 Cant wait for next Saturday they should get a right dicking. Ronaldo hat-trick. Good football? Rofl. Good football is effective football and thats what Stoke bring to the Premier League.
Phube Posted 3 November 2008 Author Posted 3 November 2008 My consultant at work reckons Walcott should have had his shoulder sorted out years ago, it was the reason he didn't play much when he first got there... Interesting!??! Poor player management by Mr. Wenger me thinks!!
dandannieldanok Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Cant wait for next Saturday they should get a right dicking. Ronaldo hat-trick. Glad I spotted this little nugget. Ronaldo my arse, outshone by Nasri. Carlos Vela's chip. Brilliance, Wilshere's pass for Simpson's first was a beaut too.
Uncle Albert Posted 12 November 2008 Posted 12 November 2008 Glad I spotted this little nugget. Ronaldo my arse, outshone by Nasri. First game Nasri has performed in. Brilliant. When Nasri comes anywhere close to what Ronaldo has achieved in the Premiership then come back and have a debate about Ronaldo and any other member of the Arsenal team. Arsenal's kids may have won but Wigan's confidence is very, very low and they cant score or win for love n money.

By which I mean Ramsey/Wilshere/Vela. Along with Walcott. If Arsenal just fielded these 4 players every week, I wouldn't hate them half as much. Vela looks incredible, and that double save Fabianski made
The People's Hero Posted 12 November 2008 Posted 12 November 2008 First game Nasri has performed in. Brilliant. You usually talk sense, but that is absolute bullshine, kiddo. I'll have a bit of respect restored if you come back and admit that!
Phube Posted 12 November 2008 Author Posted 12 November 2008 Could Wenger shape England Phube? Let us hope not... Wenger's help to England in 10 years... Theo Walcott... (I'll let this even though he came through under Southampton!) Errrr.... I'm struggling now...
lildave3 Posted 12 November 2008 Posted 12 November 2008 Could Wenger shape England Phube? To sum up - No.
Lovejoy Posted 12 November 2008 Posted 12 November 2008 First game Nasri has performed in. Brilliant. Nationwider Posted 12 November 2008 Posted 12 November 2008 They were sublime again last night. Wigan having an off night shouldn't detract from what such a young side did to a body of far more experienced pros. Wigan weren't that bad, I thought. Wenger isn't going to win another major title without splashing some wonga about but I hope that when he does, he does it with a fair number of the young players he's identified and brought through himself. I hope this strategy pays off as the football is a constant joy to watch - 60,000 turning out to watch the reserves is testament to that (yeah, yeah, reduced prices, whatever...) Arsenal are the blueprint modern English football club and Arsene Wenger is the best thing to happen to English football in recent years.

Again name all the great thing Wenger has done for England in the last ten years??? Because I'm stumped?!?!
Nationwider Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 Again name all the great thing Wenger has done for England in the last ten years??? Because I'm stumped?!?! He has brought us a vision, Phube. Along with Sir Alex Ferguson he has brought English football a vision of how the game should truly be played. Arsene Wenger's teams play without fear. They play without betraying their attacking ideals. They continue to play football, even when all those watching can see a more pragmatic approach might produce a better result. Wenger has prevailed, despite the attempts of other managers to grind the joy and excitement out of our game; the dour pragmatists he has outlasted like Mourinho and (when the sack comes) Benitez, management-by-numbers gaffers like Allardyce and McClaren. Even Kevin Keegan, who had the vision too, just not the intelligence, and tended to manage a football club like a chimpanzee drives a speedboat. He doesn't just buy players, Phube. Anyone can buy players and pick a team and hire a dietitian and wear a headset and a raincoat and shout and point and swear a lot. Wenger takes players and he improves them; he turns them into players no-one would have imagined they would become when he first acquired them. Thierry Henry, Mattieu Flamini, Alexander Hleb to name but three. He actually makes a profit on players. No other manager does this. And no other manager, Sir Alex and Dario Gradi aside, has commanded such utter respect and loyalty from fans and board alike. What other manager of a G14 side could go three seasons without a trophy and still expect to have "a job for life" [David Dein]. He encourages the creative freedom that has been so utterly lacking in our national team over the past god-knows-how-many years. The poise, movement and vision of Wilshire, Vela and Ramsey was a joy to watch at times on Tuesday. God knows what sot of a player Joe Cole might have become had he been in a Wenger side, as opposed to being the victim of Chelsea's utilitarian, rotational, win at all costs regime. It's the Chelseas and Liverpools of this world that are far more deserving of your ire, Phube - not an Arsenal side that plays in the unrelenting pursuit of the beautiful game. He is showing English football clubs the way forward. Dare we follow his lead?
