Kitchandro Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 I thought that as well at first. Suarez looks at Evra's hand, sees that it's pulled down and moves on. I don't wanna seem like I'm sticking up for Suarez because he's clearly a massive idiot, but Evra is as well. Really can't stand anyone involved in this, and that includes Fergie and Dalglish. I didn't use to mind Liverpool and actually had a fair bit of respect for Dalglish, but these past few months have properly changed my opinion. Agreed. They are all tossers and they deserve each other. Dalglish is an absolute embarrassment, defending your players in some cases is admirable but when they're clearly out of order you don't continue to stick up for him, it has made him look very stupid. He moans about the media making a big deal about it and that annoys me too, but they probably wouldn't have done if he and Suarez had just come out and admitted he was wrong in the first place. I've never liked any of them and this whole 'saga' sums them all up.
Kitchandro Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 If so the journalist in question does not appreciate the true value of Heskey. Heskey is finished, 2 or 3 years ago he was still useful in his own way but now he needs to drop down a level or retire.
Kitchandro Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 FINALLY, Sky Sports have mentioned that there is a colour clash. I've lost count of how many matches I've watched where I've thought this. 10-15 years ago it would never have happened, they would never both wear darkish colours and they never used to both wear the same colour shorts, which is more significant than people think. The FA have no respect for it's colour-blind audience!

As you say though for the colour-blind it may be that way, I can't comment as i'm 'normal'.

Kitchandro Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Tevez coming back to Man City, to play apparently! FFS. I hope the Man City fans give him the mattock treatment.
Jimothy Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 STREAKER! Not the kind of tackle we want to see in the game.
HEGGSY Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Not the kind of tackle we want to see in the game. Certainly Not

jonlcfc1990 Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Villa look in genuine trouble. Pretty worrying although i'd love to go to Villa park next season

Tom17LCFC Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 Hart is honestly one of the best GK's in the world, that was a smashing save.

Guest ttfn Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 On Evra and Suarez, I thought the bit on MOTD showing the handshake from another angle, Evra clearly has his hand pulled in a lot more when Suarez is up to shake it, Suarez doesn't move his hand at all, he keeps it at the same height and level as he does for the rest of the handshakes, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gh2GklvY7eQ Looking at that, I think if Evra hadn't reacted it would have looked like he refused Suarez's hand. Looking at that from a Liverpool perspective you could easily argue that Evra pulled his hand away and Suarez was the bigger man and just didn't react and went on to shake De Gea's hand. Suarez didn't pull his hand away. He doesn't look at Evra who is glaring at Suarez, his hand is there to be shaken and Evra doesn't shake it, then causes a load of fuss and makes himself look the victim. So, with Suarez admitting it was he who did not shake Evra's hand rather than the other way around, this is yet another allegation we can chalk up as completely unfounded. This is not aimed at Captain Shrapnel - a number of Liverpool fans previously voiced this view - but this is getting ridiculous now. None of this, going right back to the start of the sorry affair, is Evra's fault. And at every turn, somebody is out there, twisting the facts, trying to make him look the villain and Suarez the innocent party.

And at every turn, somebody is out there, twisting the facts, trying to make him look the villain and Suarez the innocent party. The whole situation isn't helped by the fact those involved play for clubs who really do detest each other and from what I hear neither manager have a lot of respect between them due to the 80s rivally either. I wonder if Liverpool (and to an extent) Man U would be so defensive of their own player if for example Suarez was simply a reserve player the former couldn't wait to get rid off rather than their only real attacking threat apart from Gerrard? Probably not...
Libertine Dream Posted 12 February 2012 Posted 12 February 2012 This is why Suarez should be banned from English football, this kid has learnt from him that it's acceptable to be racist
