Thats what footballs all about!

What? A ridiculously inaccurate amount of added time?

Posted

what 5 minutes? not that long

The Board that went up in the 89th minute said 5 minutes... so yes.... 5 minutes... for what? 3 subs? two of which were at half time anyway! and one injury that lasted a minute.

Posted

you a newcastle fan or something?

I have somewhat of a blood related interest in them yes... but I would of said that about any team. 5 minutes. Ridiculous.

Fair enough if you think that, but If you were to watch the second half again I think its fair to say that Krul was made to look as if he was time wasting a lot more than he really was by RVP's constant moaning(and standing in the fecking way!!), not sure what lies beneath that story but it really got in the way of tonights game.

If we are playing by the rules, 2 minutes should of been added for subs and 1 minute for the injury... so Howard has found another 2 minutes from somewhere... even if we were to add up Kruls supposedly lengthy goal kicks he would have wasted no more than 30 seconds.

Just think its a shame after a solid defensive performance and a very good game plan were undone by that.

I dont really know the rules on added time, but 5 mins seemed bout right for me and i dont suppose you would mind if newcastle scored lol

Newcastle's last attack was well into the 94th minute.... when that finished... it should of been full time... simples lol.

From the bbc live text:

90:00+4:08Goal scored

Goal
- Thomas Vermaelen -
Arsenal 2 - 1 Newcastle
Thomas Vermaelen scores a goal from close range to the
bottom left corner of the goal. Arsenal 2-1 Newcastle.

Now stop moaning.

I actually have a strong like for Newcastle due to half of my family being Geordies, but I cannot see how you think the goal was unfair, even if Newcastle's last attack was in the 94th minute, there was to be a MINIMUM of 5 minutes added on time, Arsenal scored at about 94:10 meaning that the goal was legit. As soon as the clock hit 95:00 the referee would only be allowed to stop play then.

Christ almighty, the average Newcastle fan's state of perma-delusion even extends to people who just happen to have a soft-spot for them (except for Bugg above )

I wasn't complaining about the timing of the goal mate, that was perfectly fair, it was the amount of time added on in the first place  .

Apologies, I went a little OTT last night as I was upset at the outcome of the game, having calmed down slightly, I still feel too much time was added on but the actual timing of Arsenal's goal was perfectly fine as it was within the (silly) amount of added time :P.

Gerrard with a lovely goal to put Liverpool 1 up in the derby at half time.

Not the best of games, Liverpool well on top like.

Gerrard and Suarez the difference. Two players with a bit of quality in a mid table premier league game.
