Jace Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Hi Bristol City fan here... Its the money for most people, i mean ill be there and doing my all to get you lot to hear us! Ha! Buts its very expensive to come to Leicester for some reason! And you can expect that figure of 200 to rise to at least 500 because its pay on the night and a LOT of city fans seem to do that! there seems to be lots of bristol fans on the forum today i think we may have under estimated their support??
Milans Foxes Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 does just the ticket run for every home game? As £14 a game is less than my ST works out. By over £100?! Edit: 'Must read ALL posts before posting' Yeah, it runs every home game as far as I know- don't think the club advertise it well enough to be honest. But yeah, those were concession tickets.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 next to sven hopefully for that money I'd at least want a place on the bench!
Fox92 Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 I don't think its pathetic, I think the 200 are loyal supportors. The club are bottom of the league, and I bet its a good 3/4 hours to Leicester from Bristol on a Tuesday night/work day. Take that into consideration. I have no doubt that on a Saturday, they would bring more. When we played the under Holloway on a saturday, I recall them bringing a fair amount.
Jalway Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Expect this figure of 200 fans to rise to atleast 600! Many many fans buy on the night! and it was 200 sold this morning, hope the bcfc fans have got over themselves and realized its only two games in and the team need their support.. Im HOPING this figure will rise anyway haha always a better game with a better atmosphere!
Solihullfox Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 My Bristol supporting brother in law is going but is sitting next to me in my mate's seat, he is in Singapore. My Dad kindly offered him the chance to go and he jumped at the free ticket ! So that means at least 201 He is the sort to do something stupid if they score, mind you might give me the excuse to give him a friendly dig.
bcfc Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 as a bristol city fan I would like to say that you've havn't seen us play! If you had you'd realise why the support for tommorow is so bad, our defence is a shambles and the manager is clueless playing many players out of position and others who just don't deserve to be in the starting 11. If you'll remember a while back in the 07-08 season we took over 3000 to your place but yes I'll expect our fans are among the most fickle in the league
Maybes Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Didnt realise we were such a MASSIVE club that we can belittle fans for travelling 100 odd miles midweek to most probably lose. Get a grip lads! We'll do what we want you massive t-wat!!
BlueSi13 Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 With the pricing structure this club has it has to get used to it. To charge people £38 to come to Bristol City at home is absolutely scandalous. I totally agree. However personally i have opted for the £20 "Just The Ticket" option. Though i think £20 for a midweek game in the second tier of English football against the bottom of the league side should be the most expensive ticket, not the cheapest. I really can't understand why clubs can't grasp the fact that lowering prices puts bums on seats, those bums then purchase merchandise, food and drinks amongst other things. Surely that would be a more effective way of generating income rather that pricing out 10,000+ right off the bat?
red5 Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 the support for tommorow is so bad, our defence is a shambles and the manager is clueless playing many players out of position same for both teams then
Donut Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 I remember some of our midweek followings when Levein was in charge, taking 300 to Burnley, 500 to Watford our home crowds are bigger than Bristol's, theyre struggling too, and its a long trip on a wednesday night So dont be arrogant about their support
1964FOX Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 What will be embarrassing is if their 200 are louder than our 20,000 and thinking of Saturdays atmosphere there's a chance they will be.
Maybes Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 The atmosphere where I am was decent on saturday, until Reading scored.
Fox92 Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 What will be embarrassing is if their 200 are louder than our 20,000 and thinking of Saturdays atmosphere there's a chance they will be. Thinking of every game, they will be!
Simmo86 Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 The atmosphere where I am was decent on saturday, until Reading scored. You still in L1? Thought it was the best its been for a long time
SystonFox Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Readings support number and vocally wise was poor but they beat us 2-0 so does it matter? I don't care how many we score past bristol city along as we score some. Number of fans is completely irrelevent. Almost as bad as saying "my dads bigger than yours"
leicesterseddon Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 This game should have been a fans fixture Erm...no it shouldn't. This is the second home game of the season FFS - what does that say to season-ticket holders who stumped up good money months ago to commit to the season, only to be sat next to people tonight that have only paid a pound or so for the privilege? Personally I think the price of matchday tickets is too high, but that is to argue in favour of a blanket reduction in prices, and not for heavily discounted games only two weeks into the season.
