Nugents looked good, we've just signed a fantastic played in Beckford, and we still have Vassell and Gallagher AND the very impressive Schlupp. I disagree since we are after an automatic spot, gally is not an out n out striker and vassell is no longer a youngster, schlupp this season is fine as back up. We have seen in the few games so far Nugent needs support and getting in one extra striker means we better hope for no long term injuries. This being Leicester you just know we will lose one for some period of time at some point

You get the player signed on and take the risk that they will pass the medical afterwards if need be. That's not to say that clubs don't put players through medicals, just that it isn't necessary for the completion of the transfer.

Vassell and Gallagher just aren't players to play up front in the centre. Schlupp is still too young to be more than a bit part, which leaves Nugent and Beckford as our only 2 options imo.
