Rincewind Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Just said its being revived or may be revived. Says going to take a lotta dosh.
Bettsy82 Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 SSN says not expected another bid from leicester another jelavic bid expected on ssn
Libertine Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 IF another bid goes in I feel it is way too late, how can he do a medical when he's on International duty?? We'd have to have someone out there.
smudger63 Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 OOH Sky Sports news are saying we may bid again for this bloke I`ve just seen that too. I`m not sure i believe it though, we will see.
Candidcamera Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 SSN saying Leicester will try to get him and rumoured to have made a bid tonight.
Haydos Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Because of int duty surely you can submit papers and the signing goes through based on the outcome of a medical at a later time...?
DannyLCFC1 Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Provided the paper work is with the fa I believe you can sign players subject to a medical that's why some deals don't get announced until after the deadline.
wolfgang amadeus Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Would probably just not do a medical? Pretty sure thats what usually happens if you can't get anyone to the player to give him a medical.
the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 You dont have to have a medical! If you trust the guy is fit!
Cheese Me Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Just thinking again, could we arrange a loan with a view to permanent move in Jan? Presumably that would mean we could still sign him later than tonight once the loan window is back open????
Guest Bilo Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Beckford and Jelavic? That's like football porn. Admittedly very expensive football porn but porn all the same.

SilverFox Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 You dont have to have a medical! If you trust the guy is fit! Depends on whether you want indemnity insurance that would cover his wages in the event of injury. Most clubs probably try to do this. No medical, no indemnity.
jonah Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 i am willing to disguise myself as a croatian with a moustache and goat and sign the papers for him, i shall do this for the cause! (and a small fee )

bluebeau Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Beckford and Jelavic? That's like football porn. Admittedly very expensive football porn but porn all the same. I can't see City signing Jelavic now that they have got Beckford. Rangers rejected Citys' £6.5m bid so it would probably take a new bid of £8m to get him. Surley the King Power people haven't got that sort of wonga to splash out in addition to what they have already spent?
brookfox Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Showing my lack of knowledge here... is he any good?! What type of a striker is he?
jonah Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 I can be the goat for an even smaller fee! if you have the beard your in! i,l give you 10% and free grazing

Guest Bilo Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 I could be, and probably am, miles off the mark but Blackburn have released El-Hadji Diouf who was on loan at Rangers last season. Could he be Jelavic's replacement?
Jace Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 sky sports just said 6.5 million bid still open but now waiting to see if withdrawn now beckfords signed
