Finnegan Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 I hope the rumours are bollocks but it really is far too easy to believe it's another Cardiff vs. Jacks altercation. Complete lunacy. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened. If the Old Firm can behave at Scotland matches, why the fuck can't we?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 It all kicked off between them in March when we played them at Carfiff. They preferred to fight between themselves than looking for trouble with the English
Finnegan Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 It all kicked off between them in March when we played them at Carfiff. They preferred to fight between themselves than looking for trouble with the English Been doing it for years, mate. Seen it loads of times. Almost every other game I've been to, someone got dragged out for rucking or whatever. Doesn't help that they turn up in their Swansea / Cardiff shirts. I'd just fucking ban club shirts from Wales games, like I said, the Old Firm aren't stupid enough so why do we bother? It's mental though. I actually know Jacks that want Wales to lose because they see it as just a Cardiff side. Obvious minority, but still, that's the stupidity that's there.
Bert Posted 7 September 2011 Author Posted 7 September 2011 Well it's certainly true. Hope the nobs that did this get what's coming to them. It's only a game....

Fox92 Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 I know Cardiff v Swansea is a proper, fierce local derby and all, but when your country play you just come together and support England (Wales for them). Can't believe it, I've never heared anything as daft.
@mrtonycox Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Managed to see the last few mins and watched Earnshaw miss a sitter which was funny. Nice to see Andy King getting 10 more minutes on the pitch than he does here.!!!
Super_horns Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Wasn't a great game..Wales probably deserved a draw. Shame about the fan killed (RIP) Once again a very small minority decide to drag the game through the gutter as generally it seemed the fans were pretty decent inside Wembley anyway.
@mrtonycox Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Yeah Welsh fan killed and welsh fans arrested. Suspect a Cardiff Swansea battle..
Babylon Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 My experience as a former semi-professional swimmer has taught me many things in life. As a result, I'm highly qualified to point out that Nigel Pearson is an excellent young manager with a promising track record and, already, a league title under his belt. My experience as tiddlywinks world champion 1989, a decade of coaching failed tiddlywinks players, and the fact my son works on the drive through at Mcdonalds, easily qualifies me to make the following statement. Nigel Pearson is god, but only when it suits me. Most of the time I would rather have in charge xxxxxxxxx (insert name of manager currently doing well, if said manager starts to fail please reinsert name of another currently successful manager). Teams like xxxxxxxxxxxx play great football, not this nonsense negative football we do (insert name of team currently doing well, if said teams starts to fail please reinsert name of another currently successful team).
Bert Posted 7 September 2011 Author Posted 7 September 2011 Makes it even worse for me that it was own fans fighting one another.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Anyone else see this escalating to a 'revenge' style riot next time Swansea and Cardiff meet ?
Finnegan Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Anyone else see this escalating to a 'revenge' style riot next time Swansea and Cardiff meet ? I'd be more worried about our upcoming international at the Liberty Stadium. LOT of Cardiff fans and friends of Mikey Dye writing some pretty heavy complaints to the Daily Mail for their reporting on the incident, n'all.
John Matrix Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 seeing some of the comments like. " we went to wem-ber-ley, and murdered a taf-fy" make me sick
Finnegan Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 I have to say, Planet Swans is generally full of complete respect and both fans' forums are generally playing down any connection to rivalry. Good to see.

Good to see. Good to hear but it's a shame those ones won't be the ones spoke about after the next game..... Some of the comments on the Facebook page from Cardiff fans are quite worrying...

The Year Of The Fox Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 I know Cardiff v Swansea is a proper, fierce local derby and all, but when your country play you just come together and support England (Wales for them). Can't believe it, I've never heared anything as daft. It's crazy. On the few aways I've done I've never seen any trouble with the English. I know it used to be bad, but englandfans have really clamped down. For example noone is allowed to join if they have a criminal record (even if its not football related.) Anthing so much as a police caution and they're kicked out, though you can appeal. Indeed on my last trip I saw forest and Derby fans singing together and having a great time. One bloke I know who was a known hooligan for city actually got carried to his bed by one of milwalls top boys a few years ago after passing out. It's situations like this that make it really enjoyable following England.
Finnegan Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 Derby / Forest and Leicester / West Ham aren't exactly rivalries on the same level as Cardiff / Swansea, though, are they? And in the case of the latter, not even a rivalry at all. It should really be emphasized that the trouble caused is by a tiny, tiny minority that can't behave themselves. There's good camaraderie between Welsh fans as well.

Guest MattP Posted 13 September 2011 Posted 13 September 2011 Wtf, is that them arriving in carfiff for an international or league game?? Wales V England earlier this year. Swansea arriving into Cardiff station, that's how mad they are!
