Guest Bilo Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Wales have a bright future I reckon, it seems based on this that they're a considerably better side than their qualifying results might suggest.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 MalkyMackayCCFC Malky Mackay Drop him? Im going to ****ing shoot him RT @AdamLCFC: @MalkyMackayCCFC think you should drop him?!? lol
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 only beat Wales 1-0, shouldn't cheer about that, their not exactly a good team really
purpleronnie Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 we seem to play better away from home, pretty poor record at wembley recently.
Salieri Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Yet another uninspiring performance by England. If it wasn't for old whale heads miss we would be looking at a very mediocre draw. Yes we will qualify and yes we will limp out in the quarters (at best) again. We are absolute light years behind Spain and a fair way behind the likes of Holland and Germany.
Finnegan Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Obviously massively gutted at missing an open goal, especially given it was Earnie. But I'll take that, really. We passed the ball about very well in the second half and it was great to see Ramsey back to where he should be, at last, following his injury. He's a top talent. What's very, very obvious is that we seriously lack a goal scorer of any calibre, however. A small country like us, with a limited pool of players and only one or two stars (in Ramsey, Bale and Bellers) really needs a reliable goal scorer who can make a bit of room and a few chances. Montenegro are mostly shit, besides a few names, but they've got a Vucinic to bag goals. That's what we lack. Morrison is woeful and Earnshaw's a Championship player, it's not enough.
purpleronnie Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Always makes me laugh how rooney can do no wrong even when he has a mare.
Salieri Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Is it bad I wanted Kingy to equalise? Nope, I did too.
Houdini Logic Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Same here, if for nothing more than to liven it up.
Bert Posted 6 September 2011 Author Posted 6 September 2011 Just a point needed. I think we'll have a major tournament to visit next year.... Very uninspiring. 3 points mind which is what we wanted. Well played Wales, very impressed tonight.
Corky Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Below par performance, Earnshaw should've buried that chance. Still, just about through.
purpleronnie Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 If teams like wales can control games at wembley what chance have we got? I liked the fact we've had new players coming through but it doesnt seem to change the way we perform. Maybe the players are scared of playing at wembley i dunno, we rarely ever play well there.
Thracian Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 As usual watching England proves a complete waste of an evening. Capello is a regular at the restaurant where my son cooks and if he was served the sort of shit he cooked up for football tonight he'd soon be complaining. Everything he does reminds me so much of Pearson. He's just functional and forgets the fact that people have paid good money to watch some football. Ah well, I'll know better than to bother watching them again As for Wales well, Earnshaw won't get an easier chance and you really don't deserve anything if you waste em. for all that I finished up hoping Wales would score, if only to punish England for the sort of negativity that has become the blight of football as a spectacle.
