Parafox Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Just watched a full show... 90 mins of utterly boring overhyped rubbish... typical Simon Cowell pointless exploitation of mindless viewing even using acts that he has 'discovered' Abso;ute total CRAP... Whats your opinion?
Rincewind Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 I'll take your word for it. Watching some snooker on eurosport so I think I escaped intact. I weighed up the pros and cons and decided whether to watch it based on that. CONS-------------------------PROS Simon Cowle Game show On ITV Ant and Dec
Guest MattP Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 ITV I presume? I avoid that channel at all costs now. It really is for the drips of society. Cowell must love it, from what I have heard of the program its basically people guessing something thats 50/50 and these morons still lap it up.
cambridgefox Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 I think if Simon Cowell suggested to ITV in an Alan Partridge way"idea for a gameshow, dry bumming animals"ITV would sanction it,he must be laughing at how much money he can make from crap tv.

Calling people the drips of society just because they watch a television channel, i can hardly imagine you are the life and soul of the parties.
jonthefox Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 I wouldnt mind giving it a go. No skill, just pure luck is my kind of gameshow.

Calling people the drips of society just because they watch a television channel, i can hardly imagine you are the life and soul of the parties. You would be surprised. I stand by the comment, everytime I turn on ITV it's mindnumbing braindead shit from Daybreak to Jeremy Kyle to all the shit this lot lap up on TV at night. I actually can't think of one program I watch on it.
I am Rod Hull Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Fuck me, you need to get a life son. Calling people the drips of society just because they watch a television channel, i can hardly imagine you are the life and soul of the parties. I`v got to agree with MattP on this one... I`v never heard of this show but then again, I avoid ITV, CH4, CH5, SKY1 and the like, like the plague... Its mindless drivel for chavs... By the way... You`ll always find me in the kitchen at parties...
Jackirius Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 And i suppose you define the 'Drips of society' as those who don't get hung up on wild conspiracy theories, don't spend a lot of time speaking to people they've never met before on an internet forum and those who maybe work hard all day and like to enjoy a bit of light entertainment at the end of the day. In my opinion, mindnumbing braindead shit would be some documentary or wasting an hour of my life reading a shit article on some ex con about his time in prison...

Each to their own. Just not my cup of tea.. It must be my age...
21st Century Fox Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 You would be surprised. I stand by the comment, everytime I turn on ITV it's mindnumbing braindead shit from Daybreak to Jeremy Kyle to all the shit this lot lap up on TV at night. I actually can't think of one program I watch on it. I concur. They tend to just show whatever appeals to the lowest common denominator now. They don't take any risks in their original programming, they generally wait till another channel takes a punt on a format and then they rehash it in the worst possible way.
Raw Dykes Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 You would be surprised. I actually can't think of one program I watch on it. I think you're right, to a certain extent. They do sometimes have decent drama, like Cracker, Morse, etc., and Champions League football, of course, but these are mere anomalies.
The Doctor Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 From what I gather it's on ITV and Cowell is involved, so it's got to be utter crap. It's one redeeming feature was football league highlights, and even that programme was terrible. Haven't watched the channel since the beeb got the FL highlights package.
Jackirius Posted 8 September 2011 Posted 8 September 2011 I take it that you watch it ? Each to their own. Just not my cup of tea.. It must be my age... I haven't been Any good?
Fox92 Posted 8 September 2011 Posted 8 September 2011 Its good if you win the £1,000,000 or whatever the prize is. Only saw abit of it last night and got bored.
I am Rod Hull Posted 8 September 2011 Posted 8 September 2011 I haven't been Any good? Yeah ! Not as good as blankety blank though...
dave the caveman Posted 8 September 2011 Posted 8 September 2011 TV is pretty much all shit. I don't know why anyone bothers watching TV anymore when you can get every worthwhile programme online and watch it as and when it suits you. I watched the first half an hour of the first episode Red or Black on Youtube last night. Stopped when I realised it lasted longer than that. It's soft, light hearted entertainment, but there is no way I could watch it for 90 minutes or even an hour, and I doubt I'll watch another episode.
lcfc_sam_p Posted 8 September 2011 Posted 8 September 2011 Red or black is for chavs? I've watched one episode, well half of one and did have to turn it off but I'm not really a fan of any gameshow. I suppose its something different if that's your thing!
Yojoe36 Posted 8 September 2011 Posted 8 September 2011 Most of the people who are on it, are there to pay of their debts At least that Palace fan didn't win. F***ing scum Overall, you could play the whole show with a 1 pence piece, and flip it for every game. It's exact same chances.
Saxondale Posted 8 September 2011 Posted 8 September 2011 Not seen this programme, don't want to. Almost everything on ITV primetime is absolutely devoid of content and is just sugar-coated, shiny, sequiny fluff. X Factor is one of the better ones but it's still guilty of the same thing. If you break an episode down, it's about 10 minutes of content and 40 minutes of padded-out moments of faux-drama, trite 'emotional' montage sequences and inane flashing lights. TV execs play it safe and synically build these programmes to tried and tested formulae and for as little money / maximum profit as possible. Obviously - that's there job so I'm not knocking them.
muzzy1981 Posted 8 September 2011 Posted 8 September 2011 Good is your playing it but shit if your watching!!! Surely someone at some point must have put there hand up and said hang on a minute this concept for TV programme is completely floored

Surely someone at some point must have put there hand up and said hang on a minute this concept for TV programme is completely floored It isn't flawed as far as they're concerned, because millions of people will tune in!
Guest MattP Posted 8 September 2011 Posted 8 September 2011 In my opinion, mindnumbing braindead shit would be some documentary or wasting an hour of my life reading a shit article on some ex con about his time in prison... Your choice naturally but I don't understand how a documentary where the main aim of the program would be to educate it's audience can be "mindnumbing"? Each to their own but I think it says a lot about a nation when programs like this can grab the masses, just so glad I didn't take that path in life and I can stick to my mindnumbing prison stories.
