Tevez; refuses to come on as Sub

Professional footballer in "im an arrogant **** with no idea of waht goes on in the real world" shocker!

Bit of a situation for Manchester City. If it was another player, maybe they could terminate his contract, but they probably rate Tevez at £50million and his wages will both stop that. They can't sell him until January and what club are going to take him after this?

Irish League club Limavady United have offered Manchester City superstar Carlos Tevez an escape route from his troubles with the Premiership giants.

The County Londonderry team's vice-chairman David Brewster faxed City on Wednesday afternoon offering to take the multi-million pound striker on loan for the rest of the season.

It follows City manager Roberto Mancini's vow that Tevez would never play for him again after the Argentina international failed to come on as a substitute against Bayern Munich in a UEFA Champions League game on Tuesday night.

Limavady United play in the second tier of Northern Ireland football, with opponents including Harland and Wolff Welders and Ballinamallard FC.

Mr Brewster said the club would be willing to take Tevez on loan and keep him fit, if City agreed to continue to pay his wages.

"Pursuant to the well publicised comments of your manager yesterday evening to the effect that Carlos Tevez would not be permitted to play for your club again, may I on behalf of Limavady United FC indicate our willingness to assist you with a difficult problem," his statement said.

"We would be perfectly willing to take Mr Tevez on loan for the remainder of the season or until transfer, thereby permitting him to play football but without the risk of being cup-tied for the Champions League.

"Limavady United play in the championship in Northern Ireland and our manager would be happy to accommodate Mr Tevez within his squad.

"Naturally, our club would not be in a position to discharge Mr Tevez's wages but I am sure you can see the advantages of keeping him match fit prior to any possible sale."

The offer has yet to receive a response from Manchester City.

The BBC has learned Tevez feels his row with boss Roberto Mancini was about warming up and not a refusal to play.

The 27-year-old felt he was ready to play when asked to prepare to come on in the second half of the 2-0 defeat.

Tevez blamed "confusion on the bench" for the "misunderstanding" in a statement on Wednesday.

In his statement, Mr Brewster said he looked forward to Manchester City's "early reply to permit us to complete the necessary paperwork with the Irish Football Association if the matter is to proceed".

lol

Tevez could easily get play in any team in the World, I can only imagine him playing in Ireland.

I would think we would be the most preferred option, with Mancini and Sven being good mates lol

I said previously in this thread about placing Carlos Tevez on gardening leave. As I understand there is a possibility should he be put on gardening leave HE WON'T GET PAID. Do it Manchester City. Do it, Do it, Do it. Teach him a lesson which he deserves.

Edit: Only on some circumstances can pay be deducted.

lol Limavady

lol not even people from Limavady want to live there.

Think your local Sunday league level and that's about right!

So Man City have "punished" his refusal to play by banning him for 2 weeks and therefore not letting him play!

I'm sure he'll be heartbroken!

http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/sport/sport-headlines/tevez-blows-hole-in-man-city's-theory-of-cash-201109284361/

CARLOS Tevez has undermined Manchester City's long term plan to spend whatever it takes to win something.

The striker has blown a hole in the club's previously bullet-proof theory by being paid an enormous amount of money and then refusing to play.

The Argentinian carnivore enraged manager Roberto Mancini last night when he refused to come on as a substitute during a Champions League match against Bayern Munich, insisting that Man City was not actually a very good team and then offering his services to Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes.

Biting the head off a badger, he added: "I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding but I hate everything about Manchester. And while I am more than happy to sign contracts and take money I never really wanted to play the actual football.

"I know that by setting this precedent it will make it much more difficult for the club to be successful, but like I said, I despise Man City, so **** them."

The move is expected to be followed by most of the squad who had not realised until now that they did not actually have to play.

Kolo Toure said: "Thank God for that. Pulling on that powder blue jersey is like dressing up as a sad clown. It makes me hate myself."

The move has stunned club chiefs who must now go back to the drawing board and begin searching for players who not only want to get paid £200,000 a week but would enjoy playing football for Manchester City while doing so.

Footballologist Wayne Hayes said: "I suspect they will now have to trawl the depths of former Liverpool players whose self-loathing is completely maxed out."

West Ham offer striker Tevez loan opportunity

By John Sinnott

BBC Sport

Tevez left West Ham in 2007

Championship club West Ham are interested in signing Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez on loan.

Football League rules allow him to sign for a Championship club on loan, even though the transfer window has closed.

City boss Mancini said the 27-year-old refused to come on against Bayern Munich on Tuesday and will not feature for the Manchester club again.

Tevez insists he has nothing to apologise for and believes his team-mates will back his version of events.

The Argentina striker left West Ham for Manchester United in 2007.

You've got to wonder what's going to happen to him if they won't play him again till he goes in January. He'd surely want to stay match fit and a loan is a possibility. Would he step down? Maybe if that was his only option. West Ham would be the obvious place for him to go to but if it comes out he is even considering a loan move to West Ham then Sven must give him a call !!

Posted

Who knows, but Sven will definitely enquire about his availability, I doubt West Ham could afford his loan fee, although they have just got Almunia on Loan and are paying his £50,000 a week wages.

"I think I'm right in saying that the pitch at the Allianz Arena is a couple of yards east of the dugout and thus further away from Carlos Tevez's children than the dug-out. This may go some way towards explaining his erratic behaviour on Tuesday night" - Simon Lea.

From yesterday's Guardian football email (the Fiver) lol
