Happy Fox Posted 14 October 2011 Posted 14 October 2011 Wednesday have sold 11,000 tickets for a beam back, I am tipping Wednesday to win this.
SemperEadem Posted 14 October 2011 Posted 14 October 2011 Flat mates are off to this while I'm in Birmingham.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 October 2011 Posted 15 October 2011 Fucking hope United do. I'm living with a Wednesday fan at the minute and he's one annoying goon.
SemperEadem Posted 15 October 2011 Posted 15 October 2011 Live in the Wednesday end of town would love a win for them. Always preferred them due to their fans being much better than the blunts and the fact they play in blue.
Fox92 Posted 15 October 2011 Posted 15 October 2011 Sheffield United hopefully. I went to school and the majority were Sheffield Wednesday and United fans. When we were relegated it was the Wednesday fans who were saying 'enjoy League 1' etc and even coming up to me in the street and saying it. Thats why I don't like Sheffield Wednesday and never will, so, hopefully Sheffield United. Wednesday are poor away from home anyway, but United have struggled against the better teams (Huddersfield and Charlton). The only part of me the wishes Wednesday well, is good luck to my old school mate who now plays for them. He's done well getting to where he is now. It will be his first derby.
Corky Posted 15 October 2011 Posted 15 October 2011 Such a shame Micky Adams left, Adams v Megson would be a long ball lover's delight. United to win.

There's definitely a large scummy element to Wednesday's support. I had to sit on a train back to Sheffield that was full of them after that home game the season we went down, few of them were taking the piss out of another lad who had a LCFC shirt on. There's quite often been a bit of racist chanting at Hillsborough too. Add Megson and Mandaric into the equation and there's only one team that I want to win this one. Come on you Blades!

General Smuts Posted 16 October 2011 Posted 16 October 2011 Does anyone remember the score when Sheff Weds played Stevenage?
isaidno Posted 16 October 2011 Posted 16 October 2011 Have you seen Stevenage lose yet this season ? , you seem to be a lucky charm Karl
Fox92 Posted 17 October 2011 Posted 17 October 2011 Does anyone remember the score when Sheff Weds played Stevenage? 5-1 wasn't it?
tartanowl Posted 17 October 2011 Posted 17 October 2011 It has been a while Leicester lads and lasses I hope you are all well. A quick reflection from our game: Disappointing crowd for the derby especially with it not being on TV. Sub 30,000 even though it is in the 3rd Division is poor. The pigs sold less than 24,000 tickets and we sold more than 15,000 (the maximum we could) for the match. 11,000+ for the beamback and 4,300 at Bramall Lane. We dominated the game and definitely deserved something out of it. In truth we probably should have won. It wasn't like we nicked a point at the end after contributing little. We had 18 shots to their 6, we hit the woodwork 3 times, we had more corners, and looked much more threatening all game. They were very fortunate to be 2 goals up. There is a fighting spirit about us this season and before where we would have crumbled we are now always up for the battle and don't give up to the last. We have the best striker in the league in Gary Madine, we are scoring goals for fun, we have decent competition in all positions, the perennial losers have been moved on out of the club, the fragility at the back has gone, and in fairness to Megson he has mostly signed very well this pre-season. The Portuguese lad Semedo in midfield is FAR too good for this league. He looks a class act. To the Stevenage fan: That game will be our turning point this season. We haven't looked back since. That performance (which was a shocker and one of the worst I've ever seen) has angered the players and we look even more determined now to get out of this league. We were second at Christmas last season but we were in a false position then. We were very fortunate on many occasions and we didn't look like a side that would get promoted. This season we look totally different. I am convinced we will be top 4 minimum and we will beat you in the return leg at Hillsborough. I haven't been this confident about Wednesday in over a decade. The off-field problems are gone, the spine of our team is more solid, we've won every game at home comfortably, we are financially in a position to sign players in January, the players look forward to playing at Hillsborough instead of hiding away, and there is a belief around the place. Pick two from Huddersfield, Preston, Charlton, and Wednesday for the automatics in my opinion, and I think Brentford and Notts County will make up the rest of the top 6. The Pigs will lose out just. I just don't think they have the quality, the experience, or the strength in depth to maintain a promotion challenge.
purpleronnie Posted 17 October 2011 Posted 17 October 2011 why wasnt this on tv ?better than the crap we had to endure watching brum.
Corky Posted 17 October 2011 Posted 17 October 2011 Blades finding it quite hard in that division now.
Fox92 Posted 17 October 2011 Posted 17 October 2011 Blades finding it quite hard in that division now. Against the bigger teams they are. Lost at home to Huddersfield, Charlton and drew with Wednesday. I just hope Huddersfield come up this year.
ajthefox Posted 17 October 2011 Posted 17 October 2011 Saw some bloke on sunday after leaving uni covered in blood and shitloads of police outside the old monk, glad I was in uni til 6ish. I was hoping both teams would somehow lose/implode, can't win 'em all though.
Turtles Head Posted 17 October 2011 Posted 17 October 2011 Kicked off near me in the Punchbowl Tavern, about 10 blokes scrapping.
