Chryatis Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Thank you for your efforts . All the best for the future.
CloudFox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 What a gentleman. Thank you Sven, and good luck! :sge:
Fox92 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Nice statement, fair play to him. Best of luck to him elsewhere, but he is far from a legend.
acooling08 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Being a nice guy doesn't win you anything. Played poorly too often this season.
Leicester Lass Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Being a nice guy doesn't win you anything. Luckily for you.
pablos111 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 He conducted himself with the utmost professionalism. Absolutely right he did, everytime!
Lambert09 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Ive heard he's favourite to succeed Steve Kean, really hope he does. Thats one way he can get his hands on Yakubu haha He had better not come snooping for our players though.
foxjack Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 A top bloke, regardless of results. Got to respect the guy in every way. You might not like him, you might not agree with his tactics or team selection, but the utmost respect. I think hes a legend, still not sure if his dismissal was a good idea, but clearly the owners have extremely high hopes and are willing to do anything to achieve, i guess thats the positive spin
dave the caveman Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I'd rather meet him than you. Well of course you would. He's an internationally recognised football manager and i'm a few words on a computer screen. You're also among those soft hearted fools who have been taken in by Sven's 'niceness'. You're probably the type of person who thinks players cry themselves to sleep at night if the fans boo them. Sven is very good at coming across like a nice man - the type who you'd trust with your Grandma while you nipped down to the shops to buy eggs. He is brilliant at getting people on his side. I imagine that he is absolutely superb when being interviewed by chairmen and he is no doubt extremely convincing when talking to potential new signings. All of this makes him a great face for the club, but not a great manager. Save your tears for when we lose a genuinely talented manager.
THEFATBASTARD Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 A rare beast indeed... a man with honour in an industry with virtually none.... ..that takes some doing...
Jacnah Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Such a nice, descent bloke.......I really am sad to see him go! However part of me thinks we might need a bit of a bastard in charge to give us the edge?! my thoughts exactly. mixed feelings...the king is dead, long live the king (or preferably bastard)

We all know your thoughts on the matter and you're completely entitled to them...but all the same, STFU!
MikeyT Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Sven Last but not least, to the fans; I want to say a huge thank you for your support. You are fantastic people and I will never forget the way you welcomed me in to your club. I am just sorry that I won’t be on the bench the day you reach the Premier League.”
Footnote75 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Sven was great (Thank you for letting me have my picture taken with you when you really just wanted to go home...)
dave the caveman Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 hey Dave - do us all a favor an just STFU for a while. We all know your thoughts on the matter and you're completely entitled to them...but all the same, STFU! I'm just trying to do you all a favour. It's a bit like when you're 11 and come home from school crying because your girlfriend of two hours dumped you for another boy. There'll be a man - maybe a brother, uncle or father - who has a quiet word in your ear and tells you to stfu with your embarrasing whining. At the time it hurts but in years to come the wisdom of that man shines through. I am that man.
gazfox9 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 The guy oozes class. What a top man. And to those saying nice guys don't win anything, maybe you're all right??? perhaps we should re-appoint Martin Allen hey??? Worked last time around

Your getting a bit of a pasting Dave (now there's a surprise on here) for failing to cry in your beer and kiss Svens arse at every opportunity. However, I agree with you.. I was very very upset when we lost MON and we all knew that that was gonna herald the demise of the club for years to come, which it did. Sven going? Couldn't give a monkeys toss.. He's been riding on the back of a reputation gained centuries ago! And will walk into something else soon anyway. Probably on more money. Sven has marketed himself beautifully over the years and has gotten fat on the 'image over substance' that pervades contemporary society. Cya Sven... Hello Martin? Now THAT'S worth getting excited about
