Kitchandro Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Fair play to him, I haven't a bad word to say about him as a person. He seems genuinely gutted.
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Fair play to him, I haven't a bad word to say about him as a person. He seems genuinely gutted. Yes he does.. I believe he had some affinity for LCFC, genuine feeling for the club. However, no room for sentiment.. Cest la vie.. Onwards and upwards and all that
BoneDog Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 What a marvellous statement to sign off with. All the best bro.
accessory Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Yes he does.. I believe he had some affinity for LCFC, genuine feeling for the club. However, no room for sentiment.. Cest la vie.. Onwards and upwards and all that I'd have an affinity and develop a "genuine feeling" for any employer that paid me £30k/WEEK. But if Sven wants to come and sit incognito on the Kop at the next home game, I'm sure one of us could sort him out with a ticket
muzzy1981 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Threw away an opportunity for a world class manager to build a legacy and no doubt would have handed over to a talented up and coming coach. Think people forget what he was building, everywhere he goes people from all round the world want to play for him. He would have definitely got us up in the end with a squad capable of staying up.
Donut Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 An absolute gentleman, that is not in question. Always welcome back at the King Power stadium, just was not in this case the man to achieve our objectives.
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 An absolute gentleman, that is not in question. Always welcome back at the King Power stadium, just was not in this case the man to achieve our objectives. I think these two paragraphs, excellent in their simplicity, summarise all the debate over Sven.
Corky Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 An absolute gentleman, that is not in question. Always welcome back at the King Power stadium, just was not in this case the man to achieve our objectives. Quite right. The club will move on now, and hopefully move forward.
jamesmilner Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 sven even went back to the training ground to say goodbye to the staff . he is a great man just didnt do a great job for us . the king is dead long live the king !
MC Prussian Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Fair play to him, I haven't a bad word to say about him as a person... ... now that he's been sacked.
blueredswed Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I am agreeing long live Sven and looking forward the new king :scarf: Perhaps not ( I woult tell you later)! :scarf:
Guest MattP Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 ... now that he's been sacked. That's fair. Kit has never insulted him personally.
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 ... now that he's been sacked. I thought you'd learnt about etiquette.. Particularly in your role.. Yesterdays scrap with Kitch and this petulant remark shows you for the child you still are.. Shame
samuel Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Prussian. You are a bell end! Sven's attitude was never in doubt, a gent all round. That was the problem, we don't need a Gent, we need a rough arsed dog that shouts and screams.
blueredswed Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I thought you'd learnt about etiquette.. Particularly in your role.. Yesterdays scrap with Kitch and this petulant remark shows you for the child you still are.. Shame Come on! Just back up oour team now! Trav Le Bleu Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Just noticed a typo in Sven's Official Statement... “I am disappointed to be leaving Leicester City Football Club. It was always my aim to lead the club into the Barclays Premier League and I am very sorry that I won’t be able to do that.“I have always thought, and still believe now, that the club will be promoted this season. The current squad is capable and ready to achieve promotion, but football is a results industry and unfortunately we couldn’t quite get things right enough of the time. “Being the manager of Leicester City was an absolute pleasure and I wish everyone connected with the club the best of luck. Leicester City is a great club and I am certain that with the current owners in charge the club will go from strength to strength. “To the players; old, new, everyone in the squad, I would like to say thank you. You are a talented group and I am hopeful that you will achieve success very soon. “To the staff at the club; both at the stadium and the training ground – you treated me like A. King and I shall miss working with you all. “Last but not least, to the fans; I want to say a huge thank you for your support. You are fantastic people and I will never forget the way you welcomed me in to your club. I am just sorry that I won’t be on the bench the day you reach the Premier League.” As you can see, I've highlighted and corrected it. Just a small mistake but now it's all clear. He was supposed to be manager and yet they treated him like just another one of the lads.
Schlupp Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 He's a top bloke,But it was never going to work out,He's handled this very proffesionally top bloke.
jamfox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 I'm just trying to do you all a favour. It's a bit like when you're 11 and come home from school crying because your girlfriend of two hours dumped you for another boy. There'll be a man - maybe a brother, uncle or father - who has a quiet word in your ear and tells you to stfu with your embarrasing whining. At the time it hurts but in years to come the wisdom of that man shines through. I am that man. No your not, your just a C@NT.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Sven a true gent. Sorry it didn't work out all the best for the future. This
jamfox Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Your getting a bit of a pasting Dave (now there's a surprise on here) for failing to cry in your beer and kiss Svens arse at every opportunity. However, I agree with you.. I was very very upset when we lost MON and we all knew that that was gonna herald the demise of the club for years to come, which it did. Sven going? Couldn't give a monkeys toss.. He's been riding on the back of a reputation gained centuries ago! And will walk into something else soon anyway. Probably on more money. Sven has marketed himself beautifully over the years and has gotten fat on the 'image over substance' that pervades contemporary society. Cya Sven... Hello Martin? Now THAT'S worth getting excited about If Dave getting a pasting here is a surprise, well your being obtuse mate. Regardless of the relative merits of Sven’s sacking and indeed his football managerial skills , this post is about the man and a dignified response lacking in contemporary society. Now how in the name of Jesus H foxing Christ is that “image over substance” ????????????? “What is a cynic? A man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing” Maybe just Maybe he really was a genuine a decent human being? Just a though...
Tielemans63 Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Sven Not his fault he got paid a fortune. It's his perogative to earn as much as poss.
Guest MattP Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 No your not, your just a C@NT. Ugh. What a toerag you are.
