themotivator Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 HAS to be Billy Davies now in my opinion. If they really want the championship experience, I don't think there is anyone better. but dear god i hate billy davies...
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I may be a little pished but, with the recent upset of MON stating he aint coming back, and all the rubbish names we are being linked with (Keane, McDermott et al) I'm getting a bit sentimental.... SVEN COME HOME!!! Hows that for a fookin U-TURN!!!
Finchy Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 but dear god i hate billy davies... He's one of those you hate when he isn't your manager but adore when he is, especially if he gets us playing like Forest 2 seasons ago.
Happy Fox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Lee Clark should get the job he will defo get us up, very much in the MON mould

Jakemoore Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 People need to stop talking about McDermott, he's a man who can work on a small budget, he has a decent record when it comes to bringing youngsters through the ranks but he would be s**t in charge of a richly talented Leicester side. I think Lee Clarke sounds like a decent shout, he has done well, shame about MON.
DanTheFox07 Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Lee Clark has to be favourite now! Him and a deal that we get Jordan Rhodes in January yes please!

Guest Col city fan Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Sven we are sorry! please forgive us and come back Martin meant nothing to us! honest I'm afraid its too late... some of us have slated him once too often and he's gone! no talking's gonna sort it I actually feel guilty! anyone know his number I'll call him...
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I'm not saying I'd like McDermott either, but I saw us play Reading twice this year & I'd say we were 2nd on both occasions, & by a margin too. Sven has a reputation in the game which he's lived on & IMO is over. I'd go for a MON type, someone with a good record at lower level, passion & desire. A Lee Clerk type maybe.

Guest Col city fan Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 You might get him at the Samaritans... oh that dont help my guilt feelings!
Ozwin Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Billy Davies pretty much advocates cheating. His sides are always ref chasing, diving, dirty scum. I have standards. One thing I've always thought about us is that we're quite an honest club, it's quite rare you'll see any of that funny business here.
Saxondale Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 A reconstruction of the Raksriaksorn / O'Neill talks at the Belfry and how they broke down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZKA_33ucdM
cc_star Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Bugger, I dared to believe. Gotta be Billy Davies or Lee Clark for me now, don't fancy Keane or McDermott. Unless of course we can tempt Peter Reid
Happy Fox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 F**k the Mark Hughes of the world and the Roy Keanes, Lee Clark is the only one I want he is passionate, knows how to get results is young ,talented, pretty much a younger version of MON, what more could you want. Yes their is probably an argument that he hasn't managed at this level before, but he played at this level before, do we take the gamble and bring him in I bloody hope so.

When you've got a load of money you generally end up with those kind of players anyway.
chili_con_carne Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Also have to be careful with Manager's already in a job because we have to get permission to speak to him. I.e we ask for permission to speak to a manager but the club says no, everyone knows who our first choice was. Was embarrasing when we appointed Holloway, we were asking for permission to speak to loads of manager's and all clubs refused.
Saxondale Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Just seen this. I know it means fvck all, but it's interesting. http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/latest-whites-news/leeds_united_grayson_tips_o_neill_for_leicester_city_return_1_3905674 “I’d be very surprised if Martin O’Neill doesn’t accept the job if he’s given it,” Grayson said.
foxsake123 Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 It makes sense to break the news in this way. MON tells his friends he doesnt want to go to tarnish his rep. The truth probably is that he said no to the owners and now not wanting to make LCFC look fools and make the next manager feel 2nd choice they have instead told the story like this. Added to the fact that the owners said something about considering all candidates and no one has spoken to mon. As opposed to, 'we spoke to him and he said get lost' Mon would've been the first person contacted about this job.
