foxsake123 Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Only half an hour ago I posted I wouldn't like to see Lee Clarke coming but after a little thought I'm growing to idea of him being manager of our club, his Huddersfield team do play good football, he's passionate and is a good motivater, but would he attract top players is a doubt I have?? Someone earlier said he is a younger version of MON, maybe he is????? From wikipedia: The first move made by Clark was to appoint Terry McDermott as his assistant as well as bringing in Derek Fazackerley in as first team coach and Steve Black as Performance Coach all of whom had previously worked with Newcastle United.
irishgus Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Twas me I don't know if I could trust Lee Clarke with the spending money part though
Callabinho Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Thing is, is it worth taking a risk on Clarke and him fail? We need someone who can pull the lads together and get them marching up the table! If we have missed out on O'Neill we need to go for someone with experience, a Billy Davies for example!
Tuna Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 i would be perfectly happy with wee billy davies or dave jones.
Stay Positive Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 i would be perfectly happy with wee billy davies or dave jones. My boss is called Dave Jones. Apparently he's open to offers.
Stay Positive Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Got to be Keegan especially as hes applied. How do you know this?

blue army 1988 Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Lee clark has turned us down according to bbc
Kitchandro Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Lee clark has turned us down according to bbc Do you mean this? BBC In which case he hasn't turned us down. I doubt he would turn us down, it'd be just the job to advance his career.
Wymsey Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Initially thought he wouldn't be returning. Always stated to be waiting for a PL club to come to him.
accessory Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 How do you know this? Yesterday's Guardian Leicester are also looking at other options. Roy Keane, who won promotion from the Championship with Sunderland, would be interested in the post, his former Manchester United team-mate, Paul Ince, is also keen to be considered and, much more surprisingly, Kevin Keegan has declared an interest in applying. Avram Grant, Alan Curbishley and Billy Davies could also come under consideration.
Tielemans63 Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Avram Grant? Paul Ince? Special K? Sweet Jebus! No,no and no.
accessory Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Avram Grant? Paul Ince? Special K? Sweet Jebus! No,no and no. If it was a choice between Keegan and Billy Davies, I'd take Keegan - every time.
ScoutMan Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 If it was a choice between Keegan and Billy Davies, I'd take Keegan - every time. Defo and I think he will get us up. Fans will like him more than Davies. BD walked out of the club when he signed in 1990 and will bring old man Pleat back as director of football which doesnt work here. Think how annoying 'Harry' was...
flowwolf Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 I really thought the owners had some one all ready to go in to the job ? Or else why get rid of Erickson so soon. I am beginning to think they are not so smart after all and are playboys who no nothing about football. Just look at the pathetic names being banded about now as the next manager they are all shite. :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Pleat was on the acquisition panel, which wasn't BD's choice. In fact he spoke out against it.

Firstly you don't know what has gone on behind the scenes, maybe there were things that meant they couldn't wait, maybe they had too much respect for Sven to do things behind his back... Who knows. Secondly, the names getting chucked about happens every single time. Just because a paper says a name doesn't mean it's true or that we're even interested. So what managers would you choose?
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Got to be Keegan especially has hes applied. Yes, yes and quadruple yes!
