Tielemans63 Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Bang on with all of that. If Hughes doesn't fancy it, then Di Matteo all day long for me. Agreed. I'd be very happy with either of them.
Thracian Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 I'd have Solskjaer over all that lot. Far more class and far more suited to every level we might aspire too.
Guest Bilo Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Hughes or Di Matteo are the main choices for me now. Failing that, Clark or Solksjaer. If Davies and Jones aren't good enough for teams in the same division, they aren't good enough for us either.
adamkhalifa Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 My judgement says O'Neil not coming. His agent probably went to the papers implying that he does not want it. We need someone to get the best out of the current players, who better than ahem...Pearson. I forget, we sacked him. Anyway Lee Clark - is probably the stand out guy at the moment. Does he have the profile for Top and co. (Not so sure) Sparky - Will jump ship as soon as the next job comes around. As Ric Flair mentioned in an earlier post. Lets just enjoy the ride once again because we have been here many times before. Why are people screaming for Billy Davies and Dave Jones. Both these managers have had their changes. Billy Davies couldn't do it with Derby or Forest. Dave Jones should have got Cardiff promoted last season.

Experiance and knowledge, and a steady head on his shoulders is what we need... CURBISHLEY!!
Ron Combo Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Di Matteo knows his onions. Been there, done it. IMHO.
Ric Flair Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 I'd have Solskjaer over all that lot. Far more class and far more suited to every level we might aspire too. Based on what? Because he used to score a lot of goals for United when he came on as a sub? You know fook all about his managerial skills. He's yet to fail and that's all that counts for you. Hughes and Di Matteo are far more equipped. Di Matteo's sides play fantastic football and he's got experience at getting teams out of this league. Hughes has done well at international level with Wales (the best manager they've had in recent history) and was superb at Blackburn and Fulham, he was also a striker at Utd something you should be all over. I'm not saying Solskjaer couldn't do it, but how can you be confident? It's a massive gamble and we can't afford many more mistakes.
blueblood88 Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 I'd have Solskjaer over all that lot. Far more class and far more suited to every level we might aspire too. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. You talk utter, utter shite! Why the fvck, would you prefer Solskjaer over Di Matteo, Hughes, Davies etc??? Because he has managed in fvcking Norway for a season? You're always on here spouting how much you know about football, it's quite clear you know shit all! Thank fvck you're not the fvcking chairman! Jesus!

How people can say after 30 odd games for some Norwegian team he's our perfect manager baffles me. I'd say he's probably the biggest risk out of main the people mentioned.

Di Matteo's has experience in getting a team out of this league not plural teams. I agree with you on Solskjaer though.
Finnegan Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 What blueblood and Flair said. I said the same thing yesterday and shock of shocks he didn't reply. Tit.
Corky Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Lennon would be a nostalgic choice and I loved the bloke as a player, but he's hardly set the world alight at Parkhead. Paul Lambert didn't, look how he's done down here.
Jace Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Now O' Neill is not interested my next choice would be Ray Wilkins, although he name has not come up much I think he would be exactly what we need
dannythefox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Now O' Neill is not interested my next choice would be Ray Wilkins, although he name has not come up much I think he would be exactly what we need How do you no hes not interested?
Burmesefox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Ray Wilkins? **** right off! Solskjaer - unproven and too much of a risk Clarke - less of a risk than Solskjaer but I feel his age is too near those of the players around him. I think we need someone a bit older to command the respect of some of our big names and big egos (esp those ****wits that have apperently been turning up late to training) For me: 1. MON 2. Billy Daves 3. Mark Hughes/Di Matteo
absolutelegend Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 1. MON 2. Billy Daves 3. Mark Hughes/Di Matteo agree
ScouseFox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Be arsed with Billy Davies, he's a right miserable, disruptive cunt. Just be arsed.
Guest Col city fan Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 I'd have Solskjaer over all that lot. Far more class and far more suited to every level we might aspire too. Usually agree with you on most stuff Thrac.. But not on this... We need a tougher, more experienced bloke to control our cocky players.. Again, Solskjaer for Sven makes no sense IMO.
Babylon Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Based on what? He's fecking brilliant at squash.
bluebeau Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 If the owners want promotion to the Premier League, which they obviously do, then there is one guy that can give them a far better chance than all the other names mentioned, apart from MON. That guy is Neil Warnock. Love him or hate him. he knows how to manage football teams, gets them promoted & tells it how it is. I know he said unpopular things regarding City when we were in administration, but he probably said what lots of others were thinking, & that's a long time ago now, so forget it for Gods sake! Apparently Milan Mandaric wanted to appoint him, but was put off by the fans feelings towards him. I like warnock, he's a character & imo he's the best man for us. I don't understand why he hasn't been mentioned. He knows the Championship better than anyone else. Come on Top, go for NW if you want Premier status.
kylestyle06 Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 But the question is - if Neil had the choice out of the two, QPR who are in the promised land, who are beating teams like Chelsea etc, or Leicester who are failing in the championship? I know who i'd chose to go with...
Babylon Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Who do people think we are naming managers already at premier league clubs as possibles to take over?
FoxyPV Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Neil Lennon anyone? He's managed to throw at least two trophies to the scum. Di Matteo is the only who seems to jump out as a sensible option out of the ones that have not been ruled out. Clarke by all accounts har ruled himself out of the the running.
Dr The Singh Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Who do people think we are naming managers already at premier league clubs as possibles to take over? This is Foxestalk, i'm surprised Pep Guiadiola and Fabio Capella's names haven't been mentioned yet!!
