themotivator Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Well pick one. Halloween - Get egged Bonfire night - Get fireworks shot at you what? people come round and knock on your door at bonfire night and shoot fireworks into your home if you dont give them a toffee apple? i dont mind halloween if people make the effort to dress up and arent agressive in a non ironic "scary monster" kind of way.
21st Century Fox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I actually had a customer who wrapped up radishes in lindor chocolate wrappers for the trick or treaters. Cat litter tray, hello!
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I love Halloween . At least we can take the mother in law out at this time of year without attracting attention .
Fox92 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Its started! Why does everyone seem to get excited for it? Its like New Year and Bonfire Night, I have no excitement within me or today.

I mean get shot at down the street. Last year, some bloke had his entire face burnt, due to some chavs who thought it was funny to set 'em off at people.
I am Rod Hull Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Cat litter tray, hello! Lace it with detergent... "Jif micro liquid where are you"
m00nie Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 364 days a year we tell our kids.. Dont take sweets from strangers" then one day we promote it and sent them to the doors for sweets... no wonder kids get confused.. try saying trick to them nowdays though and they havent a clue.. its certainly lost its way..
somebum Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I fcuking hate Halloween, Christmas, Bonfire night, all birthdays, Diwali et all. I don't hold anything against people that want to do all that stuff but in the case of Halloween to me it's just complete American nonsense that has seeped into our culture and the whole thing is just a crock. I've had kids banging on my door since 5pm and my dogs are going crazy. Not happy. HUMBUG
Bangkok Mick Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 You miserable bunch of old gits. Have you had an accident a fall or developed goms recently? well we`re solicitirs here to help you? Really? You look and sound quite threatening tba not like a professional solicitor at all.
Yojoe36 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Is it right it give trick and treaters a pack a condoms?
Fox92 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 ** knock on door ** "trick or treat?" **give them sweats** "haven't you got any money?"

Haydos Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 This thread is depressing. Lighten the fvck up. And if you can't do that, don't try and spread your misery to everyone else.
ScouseFox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Last night is pretty much always worse than tonight round here, is that just Liverpool with "mizzy (mischief) night? "Industrial fireworks" were being thrown around parks last night, apparently with the potential to cause serious damage to both property and personnel. Loads of kids in trouble with the police, 3 times more anti social behaviour than usual nights. Fucking kids.
Guest MattP Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Opened my front door earlier to a bunch of hyper kids. ''Trick or treat, trick or treat, give us something good to eat; if you don't we don't care, we'll pull down your underwear!'' "slowly put the sweets back in my pocket"
Jordan Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 When I was a kid, I didn't care for Halloween. I thought trick-or-treating was for big babies and hated all the asshole kids that went around breaking stuff and throwing things at people. Now that I'm an adult, I love Halloween, because it's National Dress Like A Slut Day and one of the best nights out on the town of the year. And since I live where the Legend of Sleepy Hollow was inspired and written, I like seeing how my town embraces Halloween and becomes a minor pseudo-tourist attraction ("Yes, the "Headless Horseman" story takes place here. No, it wasn't real. No, I haven't met Johnny Depp..."). Edit to add that the National Dress Like A Slut Day comment refers to women of legal age, and not trick-or-treaters, of course.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 . Loads of fancy dress in the pubs over the past three nights. All good fun, but not really my scene.

cambridgefox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Just had a gay ghost come to the door............................................gave me the willies!!!!!
nuttytimmy Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Had ketchup squirted all over our door after we didn't answer - on Saturday night. Idiot students who think they rule the ****ing town It's a horrible, pathetic occasion used by students and teenagers as a way of bullying folks in their own homes. A far cry from Hallowe'ens of old where I'd have a party with apple bobbing, a fancy fress competition and jelly with sour snakes in it. Those were the days...
